Your impact
Employee Relations Support: Serve as the initial point of contact for employee relations issues, providing in-person support and guidance to employees and managers. Partner with the Director of Operations for complex issues, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
Workplace Investigations: Assist with the investigation process by gathering preliminary information and documenting employee concerns as needed.
Organizational Effectiveness: Support employee engagement, performance, and key organizational HR programs in close partnership with the HR business guidelines.

Training: be the 'training champion' for the team, and assist in the creation, implementation and supervision of training plans, SOP's and other policy documents along with other department heads.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Human Resources is a visionary and strategic HR leader responsible for fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and inclusion at the San Diego Center for Children. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Director of HR will shape and execute HR strategies that align with organizational goals, drive employee engagement, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. This leader will oversee all aspects of Human Resources, including talent acquisition, performance management, leadership development, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance, and HR operations. The Director of HR will have regular direct interaction with the Senior Leadership Team and CEO, serving as a trusted advisor and thought partner. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises the Human Resources Team which includes HR Managers and HR Generalists. Requirements
⢠8+ years of engineering recruiting experience with ability to build and lead diverse technical teams.

Description
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for managing the company's HR plans in ways that support our mission and overall strategy in the People and Culture department at San Diego. This position will be responsible for:
Develop strategic HR plans and policies (recruitment, training, compensation etc.)
Develop plans for organizational growth structure
Develop and implement performance/change management plans
Decide and act on initiatives for equal opportunity, diversity, etc.
Assume responsibility of labor and employee relations
Ensure all procedures comply with regulations and best practices

Re-engineer processes to ensure maximum efficiency
Assess and anticipate human resources-related needs
Develop and nurture partnerships through human resources to bridge the divide between management and employees
Provide input on workforce and succession planning as well as plans business unit restructuring
Provide proactive support, coaching and consultation in the development and implementation of key business and HR objectives and initiatives that affect human capital management and development, improve organizational performance, managerial and organizational capabilities.
Act as point of contact and coordinate all disciplinary and grievance queries.
Partner with management to explain and illustrate various HR policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
Ensure accurate employee records maintenance
Drive end to end employee life cycle management from onboarding to offboarding
Lead negotiations with relevant HR consultancy agencies such as benefits and insurance companies
Plan, organize, and control activities and actions of the HR department including oversight of department goals, objectives, systems and budget

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $117,300.00-$170,050.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
