As the Chief HumanResources Officer, you will architect and execute Decisions end-to-end people strategy that will help the company scale. You'll own payroll, benefits, talent acquisition, onboarding, engagement, performance management, productivity, and retention initiatives-ensuring every phase of the employee lifecycle is aligned to our strategic vision. Assess and enhance people processes using modern analytics, HR technologies (such as Rippling & Greenhouse), and data-driven insights.
Champion new approaches and fresh ideas for engagement, retention, manager development, and employer branding-constantly innovating toward a best-in-class employee experience.
Foster a vibrant, inclusive culture through energetic leadership, authentic communication, and processes that support growth, accountability, and belonging.
Oversee total rewards strategy to ensure competitiveness, fairness, and alignment with business goals.
Ensure HR practices comply with relevant laws and regulations across all geographies while aligning with ethical and cultural standards.
Specialized Experience
Bachelor's degree in HumanResources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field-Master's preferred.
Proven experience as a Senior HR Leader (VP/Head of People, Chief People Officer, or equivalent) in a high-growth, B2B SaaS or technology company.
Proven experience building and scaling HR functions from scratch in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Deep knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and best practices for a global workforce.
Strong track record in developing equitable compensation, performance, and development frameworks.

About the Position
Under the general supervision of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Director of HumanResources will partner with the Executive Leadership Team to align humanresources strategy with the organization's mission and growth goals. The Director of HumanResources is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for all aspects of the HR lifecycle, including leadership development, employee engagement, staff development, compliance, compensation, benefits, training, and organizational culture.

Organizational Change and Development
Lead HR initiatives that support organizational transformation and culture change

Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

Ensure all YWCA SHR leadership adheres to legal and operational compliance requirements affecting team members

QUALIFICATIONS?

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in HumanResources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience in staff development, training design, and organizational change management.
Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
Experience with HR systems (HRMS/HRIS) and HR analytics.
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
Previous experience with Paylocity HRMS is preferred

Leadership & Partnership

Talent Management & Workforce Development
Develop and execute workforce plans aligned with current and future operational needs.
Set the tone and partner actively with managers and HR centers of excellence on improving the employee experience including talent acquisition, onboarding, learning & development, performance management, and succession planning for hourly and salaried employees.
Partner with Workforce Development Managers across manufacturing sites to ensure hourly workforce hiring and training effectiveness and efficiency and monitor key associated people metrics (retention, certifications, progression).
Employee & Labor Relations
Establish and maintain positive labor and collective bargaining relationships
Act as point of escalation for sites and Labor Relations Manager to resolve employee relations issues (including grievances and investigations) promptly and effectively.
HR Operations & Compliance
Ensure execution of people programs/processes, including goal setting, performance reviews (including hourly probationary reviews), compensation planning, and benefits annual open enrollment.
Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external state and federal regulations (FMLA, EEOC, NLRA, etc.)
Partner with Health, Safety, and Environmental teams to implement effective programs and meet enterprise and site objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's in HR/OD/Business preferred.
8-10 years of HR Generalist experience, with at least 3-5 years in a unionized, manufacturing or operations environment.
Demonstrated labor relations experience, including experience leading a collective bargaining agreement negotiations.

Knowledge of contemporary HR and manufacturing processes, including continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean preferred).
