Salary Ranges:*

Contractor shall provide services in a range of federal classification functions for a variety of occupations and grades in the General Schedule, Senior Executive Service, Senior Level, Administratively Determined, or other Federal classification systems, in accordance with Title 5, United States Code (USC) or other appropriate authorities. Services may be provided with or without delegation of classification signature authority to line managers, dependent upon agency policies and requirements. Services could include additional work as needed that is reasonably related to or associated with performing this type of function in a federal environment. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Staffing Support Services (Specialist) shall be Delegated Examining Unit (DEU) certified. Non DEU certified Specialist shall obtain certification within thirty (30) days of onboard date.
Must have extensive background in staffing and placement and classification in the Federal Government
Must have demonstrated experience performing responsibilities and duties

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree required and seven (7) years' federal HumanResources experience

Job Description
ProSidian Consulting seeks a Classification Specialist to support and participate in a project supporting The Department of Labor, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management, HumanResource Center. The Classification Specialist plays an integral role by effectively participating in day to day operations and by offering quality service and excellence in the administration provided for the OASAM. The duties of this position include developing position descriptions (PD), detailing aspects of the job responsibilities. This may include interviews with incumbents or managers to ensure the accuracy and completeness of position descriptions. It may also include providing documentation necessary to support the classification of those position descriptions. This role supports the management, to include relationships and important deliverables; and helps support others on the project through a positive attitude and effective communication with appropriate stakeholders.
This project provides humanresources and management contracting support services for the Department of Labor, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management, HumanResource Center. This project will include budget and finance, program development, analysis, evaluation, information technology, general project administration and curriculum development and training.
This Office (OASAM) is responsible for the development of policies, standards, procedures, systems and materials, related to the resource and administrative management of the Department. The HumanResources Center (HRC) is responsible for providing leadership, guidance and expertise in all areas related to management of the Department's humanresources, including recruitment and development of staff, management of personnel systems, leadership in labor management partnership and improving and supporting work and family life.• Develop Position Descriptions (PD) detailing aspects of the job responsibilities. This may include interviews with incumbents or managers to ensure the accuracy and completeness of position descriptions. Provide documentation necessary to support the classification of those position descriptions.
• Ensure the accuracy of Position Descriptions - determines the appropriate job title, series and grade of the position within the agency.
• Advise management of any agency or position management issues to ensure equity throughout the agency.
• Conduct studies and analyses of best practices to improve policies and practices.
• Ensure all classification actions are within legal and procedural guidelines.
• Assist program offices in identifying functions and positions that can be studied.
• Advise federal managers and/or HR staff on position management and classification issues; make recommendations for improvements.
• Review, revise or approve previous classification work done as requested.
• Develop standard Position Descriptions for similar type positions.
• Perform desks audits and provide evaluation statements.
• Perform other related job duties as requested.
Qualifications
• Master's degree in business or humanresources management
• Minimum three (3) years' of job classification work experience in classifying positions in the federal sector
• Knowledge of complex Federal HR practices and principles
• Knowledge of the concepts, principles, processes and practices related to classification, staffing and position management
• Knowledge of Federal Civil Service laws, rules and regulations
• Strong research skills and capabilities
• Experience conducting desks audits
• Experience in leading, planning and carrying out major projects related to HR policy and implementation procedures
• Excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation, proofreading and editing skills
• Excellent oral and written presentation and communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of automated applicant tracking/management systems
