Role Overview:
Spinelli Kilcollin seeks an experienced and highly organized HR Coordinator to join our Downtown Los Angeles team. This role is vital to ensuring smooth and effective HR operations. Key Responsibilities:
Post job openings on relevant platforms and manage applicant tracking systems.

Oversee onboarding processes, ensuring new employees are enrolled in company systems and platforms as required.
Perform administrative duties assigned, adapting to changing needs of the department.
Assist in managing benefits enrollment
Act as a first point of contact for employee questions related to HR policies and procedures.
Help organize team-building activities, wellness programs, and employee recognition initiatives.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.

Qualifications:
2 + years of experience in an HR coordination or similar role, with some experience supporting talent acquisition activities, and coordinating team functions preferred.
Clerical and administrative experience in a fast-paced office setting, preferred.
Experience with HumanResource Information Systems (HRIS) or Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is a plus.
Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and other technology applications.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining positive working relationships
High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Process HR transactions including new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, pay changes, and leaves of absence in HR systems (ADP and Oracle).
Administer and process bi-weekly payroll support accurately and on time.
Ensure data accuracy across systems and maintain current organizational charts.
Conduct regular audits of HR data to ensure compliance and consistency.
Generate reports for HR metrics including headcount, turnover, and organizational changes.
Onboarding and Offboarding
Coordinate onboarding logistics, including system setup, orientation scheduling, and new hire paperwork.

Manage offboarding processes, including exit documentation and system terminations.
Employee Support and HR Service
Serve as the first point of contact for supervisors about employee inquiries related to pay, timekeeping, benefits, and HR policies.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues by partnering with Payroll, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, and other HR teams.
Provide timely, accurate, and employee-focused responses to HR-related questions.
HR Initiatives and Projects
Schedule meetings and coordinate logistics for trainings and employee events.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Education: Bachelor's degree in HumanResources, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Language Skills: Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) required.

A Human Islet Isolation Associate role is available in the lab of Dr.
Fouad Kandeel.
He is principal investigator on the islet transplantation trial to determine the safety and efficacy of islet cell transplantation as a treatment for patients with type 1 diabetes.
In addition, Dr.
Kandeel has recently concluded a clinical project to identify genes related to the development of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease in the Hispanic population.
He also continues to oversee the Diabetes and Cardiovascular Risk Reduction Program, which he established several years ago at City of Hope.
Due to his strong background in endocrine tumors and thyroid cancer, Dr.
Kandeel participates in the development of the national guidelines for the management of neuroendocrine tumors and thyroid cancer.
Please note this role is arranged on a rotating schedule, including 24/7 on call times which include holidays and weekends.
You must respond to emergency calls at all times.
As a successful candidate, you will:· Be responsible for manufacturing and isolating human islets from pancreas donors under limited supervision for transplant and research purposes.
· Conduct islet manufacturing (both transplant and research) and related research development under cGMP guidelines.
These tasks include but are not limited to: real-time documentation, islet culture, islet sampling, islet assessment, tissue harvest and achieve, assist in developing SOPs, and attend meeting and conference for continuous education.

* Payroll Adjustments-Processes and audits post-deadline payroll and absence adjustments for hourly and salaried employees across participating campuses, ensuring accuracy, compliance with labor laws and collective bargaining agreements, and timely submission to the State Controller's Office (SCO). Responsibilities include reviewing adjustment requests, correcting discrepancies, and responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll changes.
* Leave Accrual & CalPERS Tracking- Manages leave accrual tracking for qualifying intermittent employees across participating campuses by auditing spreadsheets, updating absence management systems, and ensuring accurate reporting for payroll and CalPERS eligibility. Responsibilities include maintaining data integrity, adjusting carry-over and accrual hours, and verifying compliance with CSU policies and collective bargaining agreements.
