In addition, Dr. Kandeel has recently concluded a clinical project to identify genes related to the development of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease in the Hispanic population. He also continues to oversee the Diabetes and Cardiovascular Risk Reduction Program, which he established several years ago at City of Hope. Due to his strong background in endocrine tumors and thyroid cancer, Dr. Kandeel participates in the development of the national guidelines for the management of neuroendocrine tumors and thyroid cancer. Job Responsibilities Payroll Management & Auditing Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time, including manual checks when necessary. Audit payroll data for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Utilize ADP for payroll processing; experience with ADP systems is preferred. HRIS Data Accuracy Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system. Ensure data integrity across all HR platforms. Generate reports for compliance and internal analysis using tools such as Microsoft Excel (Excel proficiency preferred). Benefits Administration Coordinate employee benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations. Serve as a point of contact for benefits-related questions. Audit Benefits Monthly Invoices before submitting them to Accounting. Leave Management Administer absence programs including PTO. Track and document new leave requests in compliance with company policy and legal requirements. Communicate with employees and managers regarding new leave requests. Complete Employer Response Disability Insurance forms Compliance & Documentation Maintain accurate employee files and records. Support PAGA compliance audits and ensure adherence to wage and hour laws and company policies.
