This role is the primary strategic HR Manager, supporting our Equipment Service business, while also serving as a key contributor to our Company's projects and programs. Primary Responsibilities:

The Staffing Coordinator will be responsible for the design and implementation of staffing patterns for professional and nonprofessional nursing employees.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Staffing Coordinator:
Establish staffing patterns and schedules for nurses and nursing assistants.
Work with humanresources to advise them of staffing needs, status changes, terminations, and other necessary information for the smooth flow of work regarding employees.
Interpret humanresource policies for nursing staff.
Participate in in-service training.
Assist in securing staff for absences, leaves, etc., adjusting schedules as required.
Work with humanresources and department management to schedule training opportunities.
Coordinate with department management in compliance with state and federal staffing regulations.
Maintain UKG system for staff schedules, attendance and timekeeping for payroll.
On call for emergency staffing changes and communicate with department management for compliance.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
Minimum high school education or GED equivalent; some college-level training, preferred.
Possess sensitivity in understand employees' needs while maintaining a sense of balance to ensure that staffing requirements are met for the Community.
Good typing and mathematics skills.
Versed in interview techniques.

The Iowa Veterans Home is looking to fill a full time Scheduler position, working 40-hour per week, to assist with Nursing Department Scheduling and Shift Staffing. Duties include scheduling, coordinating and facilitating staffing guidelines for nursing employees. This position will have primary responsibility for creating and mainting nursing employee schedules for the Malloy building, ensuring staffing numbers are reached in advance, supporting evening shift staffing, and completing night shift staffing 2 days a week, every other weekend and rotating holidays. Hours must be worked in house, with the exception of night shift staffing that can be completed from home.
This position will work 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m., 5 days a week and every other weekend, with adjustments made the evenings they are completing night shift staffing (primarly 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.). They will work with the department to ensure a Scheduler is in-house 7 days a week.
Hours can be flexible; willing to discuss and agree upon hours with the right candidate.
