Reporting to the Director of Human Resources and Safety, this position exists to manage the HR function of the company and maintain and implement programs that provide HR services to the Branch’s and operating units. This position will maintain all facets of HR function through the employment life cycle, including but not limited to: maintain employee information, talent acquisition, employee development, succession planning, termination, employment processing, compensation, benefits, records management, safety and health, employee relations and retention, government compliance, personnel transactions, policy development/enforcement and implementation, timekeeping, cross operational communication.

This position will be responsible for administering HR programs and policies that support the continued growth of the business. Managing day/day, tactical aspects as well as contributing to strategic planning processes of HR, the HR Manager will collaborate with the leadership team, and interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Including but not limited to):
• Compliance – Administer HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws. Maintain up to date on law updates and application of such. Manage personnel files, I9’s, legally required trainings and Company reporting including ACA, EEO, 401k 5500 and payroll testing.
• Talent Acquisition – Establish recruiting, selection, hiring and onboarding processes to support seasonal hiring needs, as well as ongoing business growth.
• Employee Relations - Provide advice and counsel to managers regarding employee performance, discipline, terminations, and related issues. Act as an advocate and resource to resolve employee concerns.
• Total Rewards – Oversee the employee benefits program including group medical, disability, life and 401K plans. Administer compensation programs that attract qualified employees and drive top performance.
• Organizational Development - Champion communications efforts to encourage employee engagement. Manage the performance evaluation system and implement training/development programs to improve workforce productivity. Lead process of succession management to ensure a talent pipeline exists within the organization.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities while dealing with interruptions
• Strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate in a professional and confidential manner with members of the organization
• Solid written communication skills to prepare accurate and appropriate documentation

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Summary

The Human Resource Generalist/Manager has overall responsibility for ensuring that adequate human resources are in place to effectively support the achievement of the Company’s mission and goals. This includes responsibility for all human resource functions, such as employee relations, recruiting, benefits, compensation, performance management, policies and procedures, training, wellness and safety. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, initiate and execute strategies to achieve HR, wellness and safety-related goals and objectives.
  • Develop, standardize, maintain, and ensure compliance with robust HR systems, policies and procedures. Ensure consistent and fair application of employee policies and procedures with the goal of balancing employee and company needs.
  • Work closely with management team to provide HR-related requirements in support of short and long term goals.
  • Coordinate an effective and speedy process for recruiting, screening, onboarding, and training high quality employees and temps.
  • Maintain positive employee relations through a combination of listening to employee problems, resolving complaints and conflicts, maintaining personal interactions, and planning and coordinating employee social activities.

**Job Summary**

AECOM is in search of Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) who, as an individual contributor will report to the Senior Director, HRBP and work on a team of experienced HR Partners, chiefly accountable for partnering with their assigned business leaders to deliver a people strategy / talent agenda that drives business performance and growth.

**THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION** for an indefinite period with the possibility of transitioning to a Full Time REGULAR opportunity. You will deliver a best-in-class employee experience through manager and employee coaching, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, labor, and employee relations strategy, and assisting in implementing HR initiatives (i.e., talent, culture, inclusion & diversity) at a regional and local level.

This position can be performed remotely, and we are seeking candidates in Atlanta, GA / Raleigh, NC / and Arlington, VA and could possibly require occasional travel.

Responsibilities:

+ Serve as HR interface to assigned client groups.

+ Coach and consult leaders and people managers on organizational effectiveness, talent management, performance, and development so they can lead the organization to meet established business targets using best practice techniques and processes.

+ Provide consultation, guidance and support in all matters related to employee relations including performance management, code of conduct, fair employment practices, accommodations and all other application of local policies, work rules, procedures and applicable laws.

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership, specifically with a mix of talent management, employee relations and HRBP roles.

+ Demonstrated experience working with nonexempt employees and/or CBA exposure

+ Willingness to provide HR support for a variety of client groups with varying business goals and objectives in the US.

+ Excellent follow through skills and the ability to anticipate and address business needs proactively.

+ Ability to maintain perspective, balance, and focus through challenge, uncertainty and change.

+ Ability to work productively in a fast-paced, demanding environment
