Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
Post and manage job openings on Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and social media
Screen applicants, schedule interviews, and coordinate candidate communication

Conduct orientations for new hires and issue uniforms or safety equipment
Conduct background checks
Maintain HR and personnel files, ensuring compliance with company and state regulations
Coordinate with payroll and accounting for new hire setup
Support management with employee communications, HR updates, and retention initiatives
Help organize training days, company events, and safety meetings
Manage Benefits set up and updates.
Qualifications
2+ years of HR, recruiting, or administrative experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
Experience with HR/payroll software (QuickBooks, Gusto, or similar) preferred
Positive attitude and commitment to confidentiality and professionalism

Support the coordination of a training schedule with the hiring and training demands of the agency.
Assist the maintenance and communication of records required by regulation or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization including but not limited to personnel policies, employment applications, job descriptions, and other compliance requirements.
Support in teaching outline and determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops
Assist in the distribution of HumanResources information and processes to employees and managers. Develop communications advising managers and executive leadership of KIM's policies regarding employment, training, as well as KIM's responsibility under federal, state, and local regulations relating to employment and employment practices
Assist in workflow improvements within the agency to provide responsive and efficient service to KIM's employees.
Report on progress of employees under guidance during training periods.
Maintain ongoing communication with Director of HR & TDM, providing regular input and informing him/her of ideas and suggestions.
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality when dealing with employee matters relative to the humanresources function. Treat employee information carefully and confidentially, maintaining privacy and security at all times. Be honest with all KIM parties, providing them clear, complete, and factual information.
Actively listen and appropriately respond to employee requests, concerns, and suggestions. Respond promptly and considerately to the needs of internal staff.
Represent KIM in a courteous and professional manner in attitude and appearance and behave ethically either at work or outside your work environment. Use professional demeanor in oral and written communications with all internal and external customers.

Maintain all employee records including personnel and confidential files, ensuring that files are kept compliant within all legal and policy requirements.
Ensure proper documentation is retained for updates to personnel files for all employees as changes occur.
Assist in process improvement and development, focusing on new hire orientation.

Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adjust to changes in company policies, procedures and priorities.
Contribute to the preparation of annual program descriptions and evaluations.
Work collaboratively with the HR team and promote positive relations with Managers, Supervisors, employees, and other departments and committees as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree desired, but not required.
Minimum 1-2 years of HR experience. Prefer 1-2 years in a training function.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Capability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
Exercises time management skills to manage multiple high priority projects.
Ability to gain the trust and confidence of the executive and management team.
