Designed for Juniors, Seniors and Graduate Students interested in a career in Water Resources and Watershed Sciences, each student will work directly with a manager/director on a variety of projects.
Planning, designing, and field work play crucial roles in providing students with a 360-degree approach and infusing real world experiences into education. While interning you will gain experience with tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3-D, Bluebeam, ArcGIS and other industry specific tools relevant to your responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
Must be enrolled in a degree program closely related to Civil Engineering, GIS, Water Resources and Watershed Sciences, Ecological Services, Construction Management, Planning, Environmental Services, or Landscape Architecture.
Must be a Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program OR currently enrolled in a Master's/PhD program.

The Bilingual Housing Stability and Case Management Intern supports the CRS team in intake, housing navigation, and case management services to assist individuals and families in achieving housing stability. The intern will gain hands-on experience with direct client interaction, community resource referrals, and housing stabilization strategies. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop skills in trauma-informed care, resource navigation, and program compliance while contributing to meaningful, client-centered work.

Responsibilities:
Intake and Referrals:
Assist with responding to client inquiries and conducting initial intake assessments.
Support staff in determining eligibility and connecting clients to JFS programs and external resources.
Help maintain accurate records and update resource directories.
Housing Navigation Support:
Assist clients in locating and securing housing by helping with applications and appointments.
Collaborate with staff to maintain positive relationships with landlords and community partners.
Educate clients about tenant rights and responsibilities under supervision.
Case Management Assistance:
Assist clients with resource navigation, including employment, benefits, and other services.
Provide trauma-informed support to clients as needed.
Administrative and Payment Processing Support:
Assist in ensuring compliance with grant guidelines and maintaining accurate financial records.
General Duties:
Document interactions and client progress in the database as required.
Attend agency meetings, trainings, and team collaborations as appropriate.
Contribute to other duties as assigned based on program needs.
Other:
The role may flex between intake, housing navigation, and case management responsibilities to provide a broad learning experience.

Qualifications:
Education:
Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree program in social work, human services, or a related field.
Skills
Bilingual in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing) preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn client database systems.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Experience:
Previous experience in social services or housing programs is a plus but not required.
