Primary Responsibilities Include:
Under general supervision of the HR Director, the HR Generalist will support the Human Resources Department by performing general HR duties such as handling benefit enrollments, reviewing bi-weekly payroll, related benefits, and tax liabilities for approximately 170 employees. This position will also be responsible for assisting with insurance audits, managing sensitive employee data, and developing paperwork to support Federal and State regulatory reporting.

Minimum Education / Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources.
3+ years of HR experience in a mid-sized company (100+ Ee) required.

Typical Responsibilities:
Lead annual benefit open enrollments & required census, manage changes to employee elections, and communicate changes to Payroll Specialist.
Manage Unemployment Insurance claims and liaise with various State agencies.
Liaise with 401(k) plan administrator.
Review bi-weekly payroll for approximately 170+ employees using QuickBooks Desktop.
Prepare, file, and remit payments (as required) in connection with Federal regulatory reporting Form 940 (annual) and Form 941 (quarterly).
Prepare, file, and remit true-up payments (as required) in connection with State withholdings (MT, WY, SD, WA, CO, MI).
Answer employee inquiries regarding company policy handbook.
Lead annual W-2/W-3 process.
Lead annual 1095/1094 process.
Lead employee training and development initiatives.
Assist with annual general liability and workers compensation insurance audits.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes while focusing on safety and best practices.

OVERVIEW
The USCRI Intern will work with various departments across the organization assisting with various administrative tasks, as well as direct services provided to USCRI’s clients. The Training Coordinator works closely with the Human Resources Learning and Organizational Development team to analyze, develop, implement, facilitate, and evaluate employee training and professional development programs. This position plays a key role in fostering a strengths-based culture through the CliftonStrengths program, enhancing workforce engagement, retention, and performance in alignment with the university's mission. Key Responsibilities
Training Design & Facilitation:
* Design, deliver, and facilitate in-person, virtual, and hybrid training to support organizational goals
* Lead sessions such as New Bengal Experience, New Staff/Faculty Orientation, CliftonStrengths, and other employee development programs, including leadership and supervisory training
* Contribute to broader HR initiatives

Program Coordination & Communication:

* Ability to assess training needs, define learning objectives, develop instructional content, facilitate learning sessions, and evaluate program effectiveness
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Zoom or other video conferencing tools, e-learning content development, and learning or talent management systems (e.g., Cornerstone, Moodle)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally

Additional Information

Empire Airlines Is an approved DOD Skillbridge provider. We provide internship through the Skillbridge program for aircraft mechanics looking to transition from the military into civilian aviation. Our program is hosted at our maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility located in Hayden, Idaho.
Process
Because of the amount of time and resources required, we evaluate applicants in a manner similar to our other mechanic positions. To be considered we require applicants to submit a completed application and resume. Once received, we will evaluate your skills, experience, and the resources we have available to dedicate to your program. If selected to move forward, candidates will be required to complete an interview and any necessary paperwork required for command approval. Once selected for the internship, Candidates will be provided with an offer letter and program curriculum including agreed upon dates.
Position
The Skillbridge intern will work at our MRO with Empire staff to address a variety of maintenance needs. Interns will undergo Empire orientation, Indoc, and mentorship during the program.
