Job Details * Full-time 40-hour work weeks. * Support the Human Capital Management team. * This position is located in Oklahoma City, OK. * Salary up to: $55,000.00 based on education and experience Responsibilities * Maintains employee data including HR, payroll and benefits; calculates and processes various types of pay; enters changes in tax status and miscellaneous changes in HRMS systems; prepares and processes agency payrolls; prepares reports as directed. * * Audit timekeeping records for compliance with established standards including state and federal regulations; occasional data entry of time and leave; review time and attendance records; explain laws and rules pertaining to various types of leave. * Performs a wide variety of record keeping and payroll processing activities, computing wage and overtime payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions and processing terminations. * * Prepares, processes, and/or reviews a variety of transactions concerning retirement and insurance deductions and payments, deferred compensation, charitable contributions and other voluntary and involuntary payroll deductions, post job requisitions, status changes, transfers, promotions, demotions, salary changes, terminations. * * Explains laws, rules and regulations including state and federal pertaining to payroll and human resources transactions; contacts proper authority for interpretation of the laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the more complex transactions. * * Provides assistance by interpreting and explaining employee benefit plans, assists in processing plan coverage changes, assist employees and troubleshoot with benefit issues; processes retirement forms including vesting and withdrawal options for departing employees; processes workers' compensation injury claim forms. * Prepares routine correspondence and forms; enters appropriate information into computer systems including Workday and OPERS online and other systems. * Performs central statewide payroll processing responsibilities, including monitoring payroll received from agencies.* * Handles payroll deductions and reports to outside entities, including the IRS.* * Maintains confidential employee records and filing systems in compliance with agency policy, the OK Dept of Libraries Records Disposition Schedule following all State and Federal laws and regulations along with any applicable regulations. * Other related duties as assigned. * Denotes Essential Function Physical Demands and Work Environment This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. Occasional travel may be required. Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in accounting, human resources, or closely related field; or * Four years of payroll and/or human resources experience; or * An equivalent combination of education and experience.
