Purchases gift cards at each month's end and distributes to employees. Checks with others in payroll review. Reviews the Paid Time Off (PTO) reports. Position provides support to the HR Associate, including operational details. Operational detail work may include the updating of Employees Handbook, monitoring internal organization of various personnel or training projects that reach across the organization. Reviews, under supervision, applications for employment and their distribution to department managers. Scans applications for electronic file management through DocuXplorer. Track employee referrals. Advertises new positions internally and externally. Attends job fairs on behalf of BHIL and BHIT when requested. Processes criminal, and driving backgrounds, where applicable, and employment experience on applicants recommended for hire by the specific departments. Performs background checks on recommended applicants. Responds to inquiries from the general public by telephone, e-mail and in person, regarding employment opportunities, employment laws, the requirements of each position and the procedures for applying. Responsible for sending out BHIL and BHIT required mailings with the help of the HR Associate. Updates Labor Law Posters when needed. Serves as purchasing agent for Human Resources and as a member of the Safety Committee. Handles confidential faxes for HR. As needed, helps the HR Associate in Timekeepers and Manager Training. Provides key assistance to the Chief Financial Officer and HR Associate as needed. Additional Functions: Performs other related work as required. MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Graduation from high school with three years of relevant human resource technical work or a two year associate's degree in human resources from an appropriately accredited institution or relevant field and one year of progressively responsible human resources support experience in a variety of programs and specific experience in administering benefit plans, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Unemployment Claims. Computer operations including superior expertise in word processing, Excel spreadsheets, including sorting data, building spreadsheets, loading formulas and data base software; or an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills. Role & Responsibilities • Conduct pre-season inventory of recreation, pool, and activities supplies; assist with ordering. • Assist in planning, scheduling, and preparation for spring programs and summer launch. • Support spring events (set-up, coordination, member engagement - Easter Party, Mother's Day Tea, Music Bingo, Murder Mystery Dinner). • Assist with pool operations, supervision of seasonal staff, and coverage of hours. • Serve as acting supervisor in the absence of the Recreation Director. • Create a memorable experience for all Members and guests while consistently providing excellent customer service. • Provide immediate attention to all Members and guests upon arrival/check-in and assist with any requests. • Refer to each Member by name when possible, to enhance the Member experience. • Enforce all Club rules and policies in and around the aquatics area. • Respond to emergencies appropriately. • Facilitate recreation activities and contribute feedback on activity success and Member engagement. • Maintain knowledge of Club events, promotions, and general activities. • Maintain the cleanliness of the aquatics area according to Club standards. • Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere, responding to requests in a timely and professional manner. • Project an upbeat and positive attitude with strong work ethic. • Advise management of Member or guest complaints promptly. • Complete all opening, side, and closing duties as assigned. • Adhere to all state and local laws, as well as health and sanitation codes and guidelines. • Be detail-oriented, able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and contribute to a strong team dynamic. • Operate within all established Club guidelines, policies, standards, and procedures. • Maintain responsibility for issued uniforms and wear appropriate uniform while on duty. Compensation: Starting at $ 22 - $25/hr + COMMISSION based on surpassing sale quotas W-2 Employment We provide a promotional kit and bi-weekly paycheck via direct deposit! Our average brand ambassadors make $200-$300 per day. Our top brand ambassadors are making $500+ per day! Bonus Payout: We have nine different products in Costco, and usually five on the table. Must be able to lift and carry a 2' x 4' folding table from the parking lot to the store and then back to your car at the end of the shift. The table weighs approximately 20 pounds. You must also be able to carry products, demonstration supplies and sales materials to and from your car at the beginning and end of each shift. Ability to stand for 7 hours. Ability to work independently and without direct supervision as the only team member per location. Requirements: Outgoing personality, ability to approach and talk to customers. Strong verbal communication skills. Experience with direct sales. Email and basic computer / mobile device skills.
