    The Human Resources Manager is an integral part of Hanson Bridgett's Talent team. It is an essential function of any remote role that the employee be available to attend in-person meetings or to come to the office for other reasons when the need arises. This position requires the individual reside in California and will have a designation to one of Hanson Bridgett's five office locations: San Francisco, Sacramento, San Rafael, Walnut Creek, or Los Angeles. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Recruitment and Talent Acquisition Lead and coordinate arrivals, departures, transfers, and other personnel changes. Assist with the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and onboarding. Employee Relations Serve as a trusted resource for employees and management on HR policies and procedures. Address and resolve employee concerns and conflicts, fostering a positive work environment. Performance Management and Learning and Development Facilitate performance appraisal processes for professional staff and provide guidance to managers on performance management. Support the development and implementation of professional staff training and development programs. Policy Development and Guidance Providing advice and guidance to stakeholders on firm policies, procedures, and best practices Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with best practices. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Compensation and Benefits Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives. Administer and manage employee leaves of absence including providing guidance to employees throughout the process. HR Projects and Reporting Oversee the implementation of Talent operational projects, providing advice and guidance where necessary to ensure projects are delivered successfully and by required deadlines. Required Skills, Abilities and Qualifications Bachelor's degree with a focus in human resources or related field; master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) a plus. 5+ years of progressive HR experience preferably in a law firm or professional services environment. Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills with impeccable attention to detail. Demonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Ability to travel to other offices as needed. Proficient in HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Management a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite. Salary Hanson Bridgett offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The annual salary for this California-based role is anticipated to be in the area $120,000 - $145,000, and represents the firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation is negotiable, and will depend upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's years of experience, qualifications, and skill set.
