Some groups have a really good culture, and Humana is one of the few employers in town large enough to draw talent from out of town.
Ever since Broussard took over, the operating model has revolved around executives wanting to cash out, i.e., successive rounds of indiscriminate layoffs followed by external hires and reorgs, which is doing a better job of destroying trust and sending accumulated knowledge out the door than it is of improving the culture or setting the company up for long-term success.
Decent 401(k) match
Opportunity to grow
Political Emphasis on organizational gaps
Bonus pay incentives
Ability to work from home, supportive team.
Not much room for error for extremely small discrepancies (accidental) not an error proof system, very difficult for some to learn.
Fairly unimpressed with the benefits overall. Discount site got good movie ticket prices etc.
Great concept with a focus on employee health.
Mid level managers are awful. Everyday I felt like I was in an episode of Gossip Girl but all of the characters were Hogwarts rejects instead of socialites. A year of misery for me.
Meditation room in the gym was amazing!
Good work flexibility and work-life balance.
Changing overall company vision and direction. Never feels that it is about the consumer or about the employees.
