The clinic receptionist works directly with the public assisting the veterinary technicians, assistants and doctors, scheduling appointments, answering the phone, and providing pleasant customer service.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Uphold the mission of Humane Animal Rescue throughout all responsibilities of the position.
Understand and support the Open Door Philosophy of Humane Animal Rescue.
Maintain positive relationships with co-workers, managers, directors, clients, and stakeholders.
Knowledge of multi-line phone system.
Friendly, professional and courteous manner with customers is essential.
Answer telephone calls for the Veterinary Medical Center.
Schedule appointments for the Veterinary Medical Center.
Ability to discern emergencies vs routine care and the ability to refer out if necessary
Enter medical records, create invoices, and take payments from clinic clients.
Proficiency in clinic software as well as kennel software.
Assist in reception duties for vaccines clinics both onsite and offsite.
Assist in admitting and discharging of surgery patients.
Basic understanding of veterinary medical terminology, vaccines, medications and disease recognition.
Fill and explain prescriptions.
Assist customers with their questions, providing the highest level of customer service and accuracy.
Make changes to, and assist other employees with, the operation of the voice mail system.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced atmosphere.
General computer knowledge regarding Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be exposed to hazards associated with aggressive animals; hazards associated with infected animals and controlled substances; exposure to unpleasant odors and noises; exposure to bites, scratches and animal wastes; possible exposure to contagious diseases. The employee will primarily be working in the shelter environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to bend, stand, stoop, walk, sit, talk, listen, hear; use hands to finger, manipulate, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to a minimum of 40 pounds repeatedly thought the day with some assistance. Must be able to work standing for 6 or more hours. *Employment Type:* Part time *Shift:* Rotating Shift *Description:* Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic, is looking for MRI Technologists to join our MRI and Radiology Team! *Shift*: Pool/Per Diem, as needed including, evening, nights, weekend and holiday shifts; must be able to take call.

This role performs MRI examinations on patients utilizing specialized x-ray and computer systems. The purpose is delivery of quality care commensurate with the age of the patient population for the said designated area.
* Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
* Participates constructively in PI activities in the department
* Recognizes special needs/concerns of populations served and adjusts communication accordingly, i.e., language barrier, diminished hearing, concrete terms, etc.
* Performs MRI examinations on patients, using equipment correctly and according to manufacturer specifications.
* Uses MRI scanners appropriately, has a good knowledge of cross sectional anatomy in all scan planes.
* Understands and can accurately use PACS and Teleradiology systems.
* Knows, understands and can demonstrate proper IV skills. Successfully performs venipuncture procedures; selects appropriate needle gauge considering patient age, skin condition, positioning, cognition. Monitors site according to policy: vessicants, non-vessicants, documentation.
* Facilitates patient safety and comfort during procedures; explains procedures to patient and answers all questions prior to exam.
* Reviews patient identification and patient history prior to exam. Screens all patients for metal objects prior to exam.
* Performs clerical/administrative responsibilities; reviews physicians notes and insurance information.
*Requirements:*
* High School graduate;
* Successful graduate from an AMA approved Radiology program
* Registered by ARRT or acquired within one year
* MRI certification required within 1 year of hire into position
* BLS required
