I am a co-founder and Chief Finance and Operations Officer at Humanyze, a social analytics company that builds technology to help organizations analyze communication and social interaction patterns in order to improve their organizational health.

From its origin in October 2010 and until October 2013 I served as Chief Technology Officer, leading our technology and organizational development efforts. In November 2013 I took the role of CFO/COO overseeing the company's operations across multiple areas: Technology, Analytics, Consulting, Finance, Human Resources, and Legal.

I received a PhD and a Master in Media Arts and Sciences from the MIT Media Lab, where my research focused on human behavior sensing, pattern recognition, social network analysis, and organizational design and engineering. Prior to MIT I received MS and BS degrees in Electronics Engineering from Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico.

I have worked for companies such as Qualcomm, Motorola, and Hitachi, and have published my research in multiple international conferences and journals. I enjoy fitness training, traveling and learning foreign languages. I'm fluent in Spanish, English, and French, and studied Japanese for over five years.
