Hunt Companies company history timeline

1947

In 1947, M.L. Hunt and his sons Jack and Kelly started Hunt Sales Company in El Paso, Texas.

1948

Our company began shifting the focus to residential real estate and opened our first suburban branch on Delaware Avenue in Kenmore in 1948.

1958

In 1958, Hunt Oil Company purchased six leases in the Gulf of Mexico comprising the Eugene Island Block 77 field.

1972

Followed by an additional stock sale in 1972.

1979

Founded in 1979, Envolve Management Group was created to meet the growing property management demand from institutional investors as well as individual investors.

1984

In 1984, with what was called the “rankest wildcat” the company ever drilled, the Alif No.

In 1984, HUNT’s first subsidiary was created, known today as HUNT Mortgage.

1986

In 1986, Dennis Hunt started "Hunt Construction Services" in Argyle, N.Y. locally constructing residential and light commercial projects.

1992

In 1992 the company was incorporated under Hunt Companies, Inc.

1993

Our in-house title agency, Network Title Agency of New York, was then acquired in 1993.

2000

The project began in 2000, when Peru's government awarded Hunt Oil Company and its partners the contract to develop the upstream portion of one of South America's largest natural gas resources, the Camisea field.

2003

2003 became a milestone year for yet another reason as our sales volume passed $1 billion for the first time in our company’s history.

2004

With the instability of the lumber market in 2004, Hunt Companies began looking for a more stable & economical building product.

2005

Peter F. Hunt was named our Chairman and CEO in 2005, a position he still holds today.

2006

In December 2006, the PERU LNG project was officially launched.

2007

Charles F. Hunt, who represents the fourth generation of the Hunt family, joined us in 2007.

2010

On June 10, 2010, PERU LNG and Peruvian government officials inaugurated the first gas liquefaction plant in South America.

In 2010, Envolve became the property management affiliate of Hunt Companies, Inc. based in El Paso, Texas.

2011

And perhaps most notably, HUNT Real Estate Corporation celebrated its 100th year in business in 2011.

2014

On September 29, 2014, Ray Hunt announced a change to Hunt Consolidated's organizational structure, naming Hunter Hunt and Chris Kleinert co-presidents of Hunt Consolidated, Inc.

2019

Our last winner was Brad Jenkins from Daly City , who won a Samsung KU6179 Ultra HD TV on 14.05.2019 with his 5-billionth Search.
