Job DescriptionSalary:
Hunt Electric, Inc.is searching for afull-time Licensed Industrial Electrical Apprenticeto join our team in our electrical division for a job located in Delta, Utah.
TheLicensed Industrial Electrical Apprenticemust complete the number of hours required for each year in the program (a minimum of 2,000 hours of on-the-job training for each year of his / her apprenticeship).
Major Duties:
The ability to stand for long periods of time.
The ability to climb ladders several times in a row.
The ability to work with hands above your head with tools.
The ability to lift tools and equipment above your head several times.
The ability to lift up to 100lbs.
The ability to stretch, bend, stand, climb, and move continuously.
Demonstrate an aptitude for learning, goal-oriented mindset for continual growth, with a Can-Do positive attitude.
Actively contributes to a positive team environment.
Demonstrates dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
Demonstrate knowledge of the National Electric Code.
Be a self-starter and be dependable.
Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
Be enrolled in the appropriate apprentice-level school program.
Have an active state apprentice license.
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
Must be willing to travel and work out of Delta, Utah for the duration of the project.

Do you have experience with roadway projects including Traffic Signals, Street Lighting, and Underground Utilities? Do you enjoy troubleshooting, pulling wire, bending pipe and computing electrical formulas? Can you install control circuits and other components? Are you able to read, interpret, and understand electrical plans, complex circuit schematics, and blueprints?
We need some hardworking individuals to work with light, medium and heavy tools, underground conduit, boxes and vaults, build cabinets and foundations, pull wire, install light poles and fixtures, mount signal heads, install traffic cameras, set rebar foundations and pour concrete.
MAJOR DUTIES
Working on MSHA surface mine locations (mostly gravel pits).
Installing and maintaining three-phase power systems, motors, motor controls.
Designing, installing, maintaining motor control systems.
Troubleshooting, repairing and servicing control and power systems.
PLC control design, programming and troubleshooting.
Occasional long hours to complete work.
Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid Journeyman Electricians license.
Electrical Conduit Experience.
High School graduate or Equivalent.
Must have electrical knowledge.
Must have a background in Construction, or Carpentry.
General Labor/Construction Labor Experience Required.
Valid Drivers License.
This full-time position receives a competitive salary commensurate with experience and position responsibilities. This technician performs field activities associated with supporting the installation, maintenance, and servicing of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems for commercial customers.
Duties include:
Assist with on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair and calibration after installation.
Uses technical abilities to maintain systems.
Works in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Must work in a safe manner on a daily basis and ensure that all safety measures are taken at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends required.
What We Are Looking For
High School diploma or GED equivalent
HVAC Trade school graduate strongly preferred achieving 3.5 GPA and excellent attendance.
1+ years in mechanical support role, some hands-on HVAC experience preferred
EPA Certification- Type I & Type II or Universal Preferred
NATE certification a plus
Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
Ability to climb ladders.
Moderate lifting (up to 90 pounds)
Technical aptitude to perform maintenance, service, and troubleshoot equipment.
Excellent Customer Service Skills
Good Electrical and Mechanical Diagnostic Skills
Ability to complete repairs and required paperwork.
Ability to work independently and self-schedule.
Self-motivated to complete assigned tasks within time constraints.
Driven to succeed and able to work with minimum supervision.
Availability for weekend and night work occasionally.
Must be willing to relocate to another part of country once training is completed.
Local travel may be required.
Physical Requirements:
Technicians install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial, rooftop HVAC units. This work is often done independently. As such, Technicians must be able to safely:
Get themselves and necessary tools/equipment onto the rooftop - typically via fixed/extension ladder.
Work at heights
Load and unload tools/equipment from work van
Lifting occasionally up to 75lbs.
Lifting to shoulder and overhead occasionally up to 25 lbs.
Push/pull wheeled cart up to 150 lbs.
Climb ladder up to roof height.
Extend reach overhead in a repetitive motion.
Manual tandem lifting load up to 125 lbs
What We Offer
Compensation:
This is an hourly non-exempt role. The salary range for this role and market is between $36,000 - $45,000 annually. Factors that may affect the starting salary include geography/market and the individual's tenure, performance, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Employees in this role are not eligible for a bonus but do earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
