Huntington Federal Savings Bank company history timeline
Huntington Federal received its first federal charter as Huntington Federal Savings & Loan in 1934.
Throughout the decade the bank grew, and it was determined in 1959 that that customers needs could be better met with a different facility.
In 1995, all of that changed when the bank dropped ‘Savings & Loan’ from its name and officially became chartered as Huntington Federal Savings Bank.
Built in 2008, the building’s strikingly modern in design, with a curving roof structure that ties together the branch’s interior and its drive-through lanes, won Edward Tucker Architects a merit award from the West Virginia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
