Summary

Key Responsibilities:
+ Manage proposals, including all aspects of proposal development: pre-proposal planning activities, kick-off meetings, value proposition conveyance, theme development, schedule management, action/issue tracking, proposal structure, compliance oversight, writing instructions and team guidance, review team coordination, and production oversight.

Summary
This is an UNPAID internship through the DoD SkillBridge Program for transitioning active-duty US military personnel. DoD SkillBridge Internships are available to help transitioning active-duty military personnel gain real-world experience in the work force sometime during their final 180 days of active-duty service. The intern will actively train on meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior company leadership. As a key player in our organization, you'll be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the physical security program for HII Mission Technologies which includes developing procedures to protect personnel, property, and sensitive information. - Oversee access control systems, surveillance technologies, perimeter protection, and intrusion detection.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability analyses of facilities, infrastructure, and operations.
- Collaborate with Facility Security Officers (FSOs), IT security, and executive leadership to ensure a holistic and compliant security posture. Lead audits and inspections; prepare mitigation plans and corrective actions as needed.
- Work with vendors for scheduling installations, repairs, and upgrades of physical security equipment
- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures related to physical security. Manage contractor and vendor relationships for security-related services and system installations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on physical and security, advising on security requirements for new projects, facilities, and programs.
- Assist in developing and updating security awareness training to employees and contractors.
- Serve as the Physical Security Lead for coordinating physical security requirements as they relate to Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).
- Travel among sites as needed. Travel may be up to 25%- 30% and on occasion may include overnight stays

- 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of direct experience in physical and industrial security within a government, defense, or critical infrastructure environment.
- Experience with the Lenel S2 access control application, camera systems (Axis is a plus), and network video recorder systems (Milestone and Milestone Kite are a plus).
- Extensive knowledge of NISPOM, ICD 705, DoD 5200.1, and other applicable regulations and standards.
- Proven track record in managing complex security projects and implementing large-scale physical security systems. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Active Secret security clearance (with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI).
- Reliable transportation to travel among sites as needed.

- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management, homeland security, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.

HII Mission Technologies (HII MT) is seeking talented engineers who are excited to work in a flipped engineering environment. Our team specializes in reverse engineering and microelectronics trust and assurance.
Candidates for this position will contribute to the team by utilizing in-house software tools to reverse engineer hardware assets provided by the U.S. government. During the analysis, engineers will identify common hardware structures like embedded processors, DSPs, filters, transceivers, data links, and decoders and determine the operational parameters they were designed for. Program of Instruction
This is an UNPAID internship through the DoD SkillBridge Program for transitioning active-duty US military personnel. DoD SkillBridge Internships are available to help transitioning active-duty military personnel gain real-world experience in the work force sometime during their final 180 days of active-duty service. The intern will actively train on meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior company leadership. HII Mission Technologies Internship programs are focused on placing transitioning military into internships that require KSAs, Education & Military Training similar to their current or previous military jobs; positions that could easily transition over to a full-time regular and permanent job with HII.
Desired End State (4month target)
+ At the end of four months, the intern will be able to describe core functions of a Spectrum Manager, have a basic knowledge of spectrum technologies, describe basic responsibilities of spectrum management and analysis, and gain knowledge on tools and techniques.
+ The intern will enhance their understanding of Spectrum Management as the art and science of managing the use of the radio spectrum in order to minimize interference and ensure radio spectrum is used to its most efficient extent and benefit for the DoD
+ The intern will enhance their understanding of all spectrum management software, operation, and analysis concepts and procedures.
+ The intern will increase their understanding of Spectrum Management Theory and Policies
+ The intern will enhance their understanding of FCC and NTIA regulations, policies and procedures.
+ The intern will enhance their understanding of technical documentation, presentation of that documentation and project management.
+ HII Mission Technologies will benefit from the military background of the SkillBridge intern and considers the SkillBridge internship an overall positive experience.
Training Plan
For this internship, the Skillbridge intern will train as a Spectrum Manger within the Radio Frequency and Electromagnetic Spectrum Engineering Directorate at HII Mission Technologies, reporting to a designated HII Mission Technologies Supervisor, with the goal of learning Spectrum Management principles, technologies, and core functions, as well as the day-to-day responsibilities of Spectrum Management. The intern will be assigned special projects as needed.

Phase 1 - Principals, Theory, Policy and Regulations
+ Week 1: In processing, Introductions/office familiarization
