The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and managing production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products while optimizing resource utilization. What You Will Do
Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.
Sschedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.

The Role

Summary
HII Mission Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst IV to provide technical cybersecurity support to the Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN) with a focus on ACAS data analysis.
Impact
This role has a direct impact on safeguarding Navy training systems by identifying vulnerabilities, strengthening defenses, and ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards. + Evaluate security toolsets to identify gaps and recommend improvements; serve as SME on vulnerabilities, exploitation methods, mitigation strategies, and operational impacts.

**The Role**
Radiological Control Technicians (Monitors) perform surveillance of radiological work areas to detect and document the level and type of ionizing radiation/radioactivity in accordance with radiological control regulations. Performs and documents air, water, solid and surface radioactivity/radiation surveys using instruments designed to detect type and level of activity. Monitors also determine usage and maintenance of nuclear containment apparatus and respond to radiological incidents to ensure employee and environmental safety. Work is performed in the shipbuilding construction environment involving exposure to outside temperatures (both summer and winter), confined spaces, and elevated work areas. In addition, crawling, lifting, climbing vertical ladders and wearing respiratory equipment will be expected.
**Must Have**
Monitors must also possess the flexibility to work rotating shifts. The Monitor Trainee candidate must attend and meet the requirements of the Radiological Control Technician Qualification School (RCTQS), a 22 week course of intensive academic and practical training, located at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA. Successful completion of RCTQS is required for continued employment. Prior to reporting to the school, the candidate will be refreshed and tested in basic math and science skills. While attending school, the candidate will be taught the basic knowledge and use of nuclear instrumentation, as well as, other aspects of the nuclear field. Candidates will be required to successfully complete written, practical, and oral examinations. Upon successful completion of all requirements the candidate will become a fully qualified Monitor.This position requires a high school graduate or equivalent. The candidate should be able to apply knowledge of algebraic and geometric calculation and should have basic knowledge of biology and chemistry. Prior to employment the candidate must be able to pass a complete physical examination. Be able to acquire an interim confidential security clearance. The Role
The position is responsible for the daily operation of the Audiology function and the planning for the Hearing Conservation Program. Contact is maintained with Health and Safety regarding identification of noise hazards in the workplace and maintains open communication with Trades Management within the Company. The position establishes noise related monitoring criteria for employees. The position consults with outside audiology and otology practitioners as necessary concerning evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of employee hearing related concerns. The position also consults with Workers' Compensation investigators and legal counsel concerning employee claims. Shipfitters, often referred to as "carpenters" of shipbuilding or "artists of steel" are essential for interpreting blueprints and plans to fabricate and assemble the steel structures of aircraft carriers and submarines. They use a variety of tools to measure, cut, grind, fit, align, and tack weld components, ranging from small parts to large sub-assemblies and super lifts that form the ship's structural body. In addition to fabricating external structures, shipfitters construct all interior components, including hatches, doors, and bulkheads completing the steel work on the vessel.
At NNS, shipfitters undergo training and qualification at the shipyard's state of the art welding school. Their skills will be applied in multiple locations across the shipyard including shops, concrete and metal structures, dry docks, and aboard ships in support of new construction, ship repair, and overhaul.
Working at Newport News Shipbuilding often involves performing tasks in various weather conditions, at extreme heights on scaffolding, ladders, or elevated platforms and in small, confined spaces such as tanks, compartments, or voids in a ship. As a welder, you will begin your career by qualifying though the shipyard's start-of-the-art welding school. Upon completion, you will use a variety of welding filler metals and processes to perform structural and pipe welds throughout all phases of ship construction. Welders are responsible for tack, fillet, and full penetration welding on steel foundations, as well as structural and pipe joints for aircraft carriers and submarines.
Welders will employ various welding processes including SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding), GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), and GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding), and perform welding in all positions using both manual and mechanized techniques. All work will meet stringent nondestructive testing requirements, including visual inspection, ultrasonic inspection, and radiographic inspection. Additionally, welders will receive further training in certified visual inspection, fire watch protocols, carbon arcing, and troubleshooting minor welding equipment issues.

Summary
This is an UNPAID internship through the DoD Skillbridge Program for transitioning active-duty US military personnel. DoD Skillbridge Internships are available to help transitioning active-duty military personnel gain real-world experience in the work force sometime during their final 180 days of active-duty service. The intern will actively train on meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior company leadership. HII Mission Technologies Internship programs are focused on placing transitioning military into internships that require KSAs, Education & Military Training similar to their current or previous military jobs; positions that could easily transition over to a full-time regular and permanent job with HII.
Objective
The Skillbridge intern will train as a Project Manager within the HII Mission Technologies, reporting to a designated Mission Technologies Program Manager, with the primary goal of learning project and program management principles, technologies, and core operational functions. A secondary goal is to achieve a cross-organizational understanding of how industry works. The intern will be assigned special projects as needed.
Desired End State (3 months)
At the end of three months, the intern will be able to describe core functions of program management, have a basic knowledge of software technologies, government contracting procedures, managing program operations to ensure production schedules are met, system resources are utilized efficiently and effectively, and proper relationships are established between customers.
The intern will gain a functional understanding of schedule, performance, and risk identification / mitigation on initiatives including but not limited to systems, tools, equipment, software, facilities and other activities.
The intern will be oriented to profit and loss of a large complex program
The intern will be trained on all phases of programs from inception through completion.
The intern will support a program contained at one primary geographic location however covering remote locations and multiple business functions and employees directly assigned to program
The intern will be trained on processes to track cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs.

Training Plan
Phase 1 - Basics (Week 1-4)
In processing, Introductions/office familiarization
Intro to Program Management, Operations, Annual Operating Plans, and business development
Intro to primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance
Intro to program milestones and monitoring adherence to master plans and schedules, identify program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources.
Intro to work of employees including management level assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
Phase 2 - Project Management (Week 5-8)
Review of HII Mission Technologies portfolio - All Domain Operations Group.
Coordinate resolutions to production-related problems.
Managing required manpower support levels throughout the period of performance of the task order.
Phase 3 - Federal Contracting (Week 9-12)
HII Mission Technologies existing AAS contract vehicles, available ceilings for additional revenue generation, and how DoD customers use this pathway to pay for services and products.
Minimum Qualifications
Active-Duty Military ONLY within final 180 days of active-duty service. Applications accepted within final 12 months of active-duty US Military service. Education and Experience dependent on Program of Instruction.
Transitioning US military service member with program/project experience and technical background

The Role
Analyze, program, configure, test and implement cloud or on-premise software applications in support of business objectives. The Role
This position is for a Nuclear Engineer 4 within the Quality Assurance Engineering - Nuclear team. Quality Assurance Engineering - Nuclear (QAE-N) is responsible for the Nuclear Quality Management System at NNS. As part of this responsiblility, the team owns processes and procedures that govern critical aspects of Quality for the Trades, Nuclear Inspection, and Engineering. Additionally, QAE-N is also the lead for the Nuclear Certification Council, which is responsible for monitoring the processes and health related to Nuclear Certifications across all programs and implementing improvements or process changes.
