Summary

The Role

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries is searching for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Network Administrator for the Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) contract. This Junior Outside Machinist will be responsible for accomplishing mechanical repairs and testing onboard ships and in the shop. To include the removal, repair, overhaul, installation, alignment, troubleshooting, modifying, and testing on ship's mechanical systems and equipment.
What You Will Do
Must be able to accomplish mechanical repairs and testing onboard ships and in the shop. Work includes removal, repair, overhaul, installation, alignment, troubleshooting, modifying, and testing on ship's mechanical systems, equipment, and components including:
Antenna tilting groups (ATGs), twin and single boom.
Boat davit equipment, including nitrogen accumulators. System nitrogen charging, hydro testing, and functional/operational testing of related systems.
Torpedo strike down equipment, including lift and dogging hatch actuator cylinders.
Various types and sizes of hydraulic and pneumatic pumps, including centrifugal pumps, vane pumps, sliding shoe pumps, piston pumps, and closed and open-ended pumps. Additionally, related couplings, mechanical seals, and other pump-related components.
Capstans, winches, anchor windlasses, steering pumps, sliding pad eyes, and towed array mechanical equipment. Includes equipment brakes and slew motor gear assemblies.
Mag cable reel brake systems.
Slew motors, luff cylinders, and hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders and related components.
Retractable bitts and roller chocks, Baxter bolts, and deck drains.

Must be able to utilize standard mechanic's tools, torque wrenches, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments, fixtures, portable machine tools, and various gauges in the removal, repair, overhaul, assembly, installation, and testing of equipment, subassemblies, and components.
Must be able to disassemble, clean, inspect, and assess equipment parts and components to determine the extent of wear and damage in justification of recommendations for reuse or disposal of assemblies and components.
Identify materials and parts requiring replacement on equipment, components, and subassemblies being worked on. Provide materials and parts replacement recommendations to the Government.
Protect machined and critical surfaces during removal. Install foreign material exclusion (FME) coverings on all openings. Identify, tag, and inspect system, equipment, and piping components, connections, fasteners, and parts for reinstallation or replacement.
Perform pump and motor alignments using Rotoalign laser alignment optics and reverse indicator methods.
Ensure all removed interferences are correctly reinstalled as part of completion for all shipboard work.
Must be able to drill, tap, thread, and clean various deck and equipment fastener/fastener hole threads, including deck drains and Baxter bolts.
Identify materials and parts requiring replacement on equipment, components, and subassemblies. Provide materials and parts replacement recommendations to the Government.

HII is seeking a security-cleared Logistics Management Analyst II to support the Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) contract. The job location is on-site at our Naval Auxiliary Landing Field (NALF) San Clemente Island location west of San Diego . What You Will Do
Plan, Brief, Conduct, and Debrief complex military training exercises, including those utilizing Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) components, ensuring scenarios meet defined training objectives.
Assist the Exercise Coordinator in the comprehensive planning and scenario development for joint and service-specific military training exercises.
Actively monitor and analyze real-time training events to recognize tactically significant events (TSEs) and accurately log them into the Range Information Management System (RIMS).
Efficiently integrate multiple, electronic sources of data (e.g., video, audio, electronic snapshots, and data link information) into a single digital file to create comprehensive training records.
Utilize recorded data to create time-critical exercise debrief products, translating raw data into actionable insights for warfighters and commanders.

What You Must Have
3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
Candidate must have operational experience in Military Electronic Warfare (EW) and/or Electronic Intelligence (ELINT), potentially supported by a relevant Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) in EW or Information Operations (IO).

Program Summary
This is an UNPAID internship through the DoD SkillBridge Program for transitioning active-duty US military personnel. DoD SkillBridge Internships are available to help transitioning active-duty military personnel gain real-world experience in the work force sometime during their final 180 days of active-duty service. The intern will actively train on meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior company leadership. HII Mission Technologies (HII-MT) Internship programs are focused on placing transitioning military into internships that require KSAs, Education & Military Training similar to their current or previous military jobs; positions that could easily transition over to a full-time regular and permanent job with HII-MT.
Objective
The SkillBridge intern will train as a Marine Mechanic Technician (Damage Controlman) within HII-Mission Technologies, reporting to a designated HII Supervisor, with the goal of learning Marine Mechanic Technician basics and principles to support the Surface Enhanced Capability to Assess Program (SECAP). The intern will be assigned special projects as needed.
Desired End State (3-4 month target)
At the end of four months, the intern will be able to develop skills needed to schedule, track, assess, and repair equipment on U.S. Naval vessels. Damage Control Equipment assess, inspect, maintenance and repair, perform serviceability inspections and preventative maintenance on AFFF system, Main Drainage system, DC Locker Equipment, and CMWD Systems. Manage equipment maintenance/repair/replacement (by class of ship), test the product, make alterations based on feedback, and manage Ships Force with Technical oversite.
The intern will develop a good understanding of Marine Technician basics. This includes:
Familiarity with schedule, track, assess, and repair equipment on U.S. Naval vessels.
Planning and scheduling of onboard work with Ships Force to include perform serviceability inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment installed onboard. Troubleshoot and train S/F on how to repair/overhaul AFFF system, Main Drainage system, DC Locker Equipment, and CMWD Systems. Manage Ships Force with Technical oversite and equipment maintenance/repair/replacement. Manage Ships Force with Technical oversite and equipment maintenance/repair/replacement.
Collaboration/Coordination with users/Ships Force to provide a “On Hands” approach/ technique specific to the Sailors individual strengths.

Week 4: Introduction to the building a package for schedule work, and track to completion.
Phase 2 - Marine Technician Operations
Week 5: Collaborate/Coordinate with users/Ships Force to shadow a “On Hands” approach/ technique specific to the Sailors individual strengths.
Week 6: Collaborate/Coordinate with users/Ships Force to perform a “On Hands” approach/ technique specific to the Sailors individual strengths with Team Lead or Senior technician.
Week 7: By direction of Team Lead provide the first repair with customer/Ships Force in the field.
Week 8: Shadow Team Lead or Senior technician with a close out and op-test of installed equipment in the field.
Week 9: Shadow Team Lead or Senior technician with a in brief in the field for an assessment.
Week 10: Manage & document all serviceability inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment installed onboard by direction of Team Lead or Senior technician.
Phase 3 - Collaboration, Planning, Customer Feedback
Week 11: Shadow Team Lead or Senior technician with Corrected During Visit (CDV) Major, Minor, Repair Before Operating (RBO), in field repair/Technical assist during assessment.
Week 12: Shadow Team Lead or Senior technician with an out brief in the field with a completed assessment.
Week 13: Over the shoulder with Team Lead or Senior technician to install all equipment to CSMP that was assessed during visit. Engage with customer for final product feedback.
Additional Goals
Develop Marine Technician for training in material removal for field work.
Participate in mission planning meetings and provide feedback on tools, schedule, tracking, assessments, and repair of equipment. Serviceability inspections and preventative maintenance with “On Hands” approach/ technique specific to the Sailors individual strengths. Collaborate/Coordinate with users/Ships Force.
Minimum Qualifications

4 years of related experience, to include specific systems expertise. Prefer technical/professional certifications.

Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques. The intern will be assigned special projects as needed.
Desired End State (2 month target)
At the end of two months, the intern will have developed the core knowledge, skills, and ability to work as a contributing member of a Training Development Team. In addition, the internship will provide the ability to operate within complex programs responsible for developing training courses for future and current Navy Training Programs, gaining invaluable insights into governmental and non-governmental business practices. Phase 1 - Basics
Week 1: In processing; HII company and policy familiarization, Security and Information Technology Training. Employee introductions and campus familiarization
Week 2: Introduction to curricula development and governance. Fundamentals of how the U.S Navy programs develop technical curricula. The intern will review Legacy AIM I to AIM CPM/LOM Conversion Style Guide, Ready Relevant Learning (RRL) Process Manual, and other applicable policies. The goal is to understand the statutory requirements that direct curricula development standards and common practices
Week 3: Introduction of best practices of providing continuous high-level, trusted advice and technical assistance regarding curriculum analysis, design, development, implementation, instruction, and assessment in naval vessel courses of instruction
Week 4: Working under supervision and in concert with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to develop course material (task analysis, learning objectives, course master schedules, lessons, instructional aids, training plans, test banks, etc. to naval vessal courses of instruction
Phase 2 - Curricula Management
Week 5: Introduction into the Training Impact Review process and the technical notification process that follows a valid impact to training. The intern will develop a working knowledge of the program-specifics, to include government-to-Materials Support Agent (MSA) rules, success criteria, milestones, critical path, metrics, etc.
Week 6: Introduction to Multimedia resources to include: text, drawings, still and moving images(videos) graphics, audio, animation, simulation and any other media in which any type of information can be expressed, stored, communicated, and processed digitally
Phase 3 - Curricula Auditing
Week 7: Introduction to the In-Progress-Review (IPR) events. Intern will learn curricula review events' scheduling, coordination, and execution process. They will also create quality review matrixes, Plan of Action, and Milestones (POA&M) and checklists, while analyzing appropriate stakeholder deadlines.
Week 8: Attend and audit portions of the ITSIS Fleet Introductory Training course for BFTT and ATD Operator and Maintenace courses.
Additional Goals
Introduction to Materials Support Agent (MSA) responsibilities

Summary
Join our Elevator Support Unit (ESU)! The position will support contracted skilled trades work on Weapon Elevators and Aircraft Elevators and their systems on U.S. Navy ships. The selected candidate will support ESU by performing a variety of skilled trades, maintenance and technical tasks on aircraft carrier elevators, cargo handling systems and associated equipment, including aircraft elevators, weapons elevators and vertical stores conveyors. What You Will Do
* Provides welding support certified in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG) on Plate or Pipe.
* Uses Brazing and / or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.

Job Description
The Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) Network Administrator is responsible for administration, maintenance, and cybersecurity defense of all Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN) client and server infrastructure used to support enterprise-wide modeling and simulation applications and services for the NITE.
The candidate will work in close coordination with other team members and departments to update, monitor and maintain servers and workstations used throughout the enterprise. Additional duties include performing Microsoft Windows server administration, manage GPOs, create/modify DHCP reservations, patching and STIG'ing, as well as, authoring standard operating procedures, training junior personnel, and performing Tier 2 technical support. Individual must be able to work independently and work within a team.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Maintains smooth operation of local area, world wide and virtual private networks (VPN). Plans, evaluates, and coordinates installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. May propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings. Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions. Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems. May coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment. May design network or portion of network that include selection of hardware and software packages.

* 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field or

* Follow procedures set forth in FWP and CWP. Work to the requirements of applicable ship drawings, blueprints, technical manuals, and other approved technical references. Shop mathematics, including trigonometry and geometry, used to hold tolerances to one ten-thousandth of an inch.
* Maintain dimensional accuracy by inspecting parts using various precision measuring instruments, including sine plates, comparators, micrometers, calipers, v-blocks, angle plates, indicators, dial height gauges, go/no-go gauges, thread gauges, surface gauges, and other measuring tools.
* Utilize bench tools, including files, deburring tools, file brushes, die handles, tap handles, mallets, spanner wrenches, combination squares, standard mechanic's tools, and sandpaper/emery cloth.
* Determine which machine tool is most effective and establish the proper sequence of operations on each machine.
* Utilize lathe turning tools, boring bars, inner diameter (ID) groovers, outer diameter (OD) groovers, part-off tools, facing tools, special tools, and knurling tools. Set up and operate conventional machine tools, including horizontal lathes, vertical turret lathes, horizontal boring machines, radial arm drills, vertical and horizontal milling machines, bench grinders, ID and OD grinders, surface grinders, jig boring machines, hones, and other manual machine tools.
* Sharpen drills and reamers using drill sharpeners. Sharpen high-speed and carbide cutting tools, including turning tools, threading tools, boring bars, end mills, taps, and mill cutters, using tool grinding machines, including carbide grinders and pedestal grinders.
* Set up and operate saws, including cut-off saws, abrasive cut-off saws, sheet metal brakes, hydraulic presses, hand presses, parts tumblers, belt sanders, and heat-treating and hardening ovens.
* Proficient in the following areas: program computer numeric control (CNC) machining centers and lathes; manually program CNC lathes; set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling centers; program and edit programs for CNC machining centers; manually input (MDI) machine operations; and set up and operate single and multiple spindle CNC lathes. Set hard jaws and cut soft jaws to hold outside and inside diameters, touch off tools using tool eye and manual touch-off methods, and apply tool, wear, and work offsets. Knowledge of insert grades and radii, as well as proper use of tool and work offsets on CNC machining centers and lathes, is required.
* Inspect parts using various setups, including sine plates, comparators, magnetic v-blocks, angle plates, indicators, dial height gauges, jack stands, gauge block stack-ups, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs).
* Provide subject matter expertise and guidance in 3D printing/additive manufacturing, including advancements in technology, equipment, and techniques. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on 3D printing/additive manufacturing machines and equipment.
* Provide support as a Tool Room Attendant:Issue, receive, stow, and organize tool room supplies and equipment. Perform research to identify replacement supplies, tools, and equipment. Maintain accurate and complete logs of tools and items issued to and received from workers, search for lost or misplaced tools, prepare perpetual and periodic inventories, unpack and organize new tools/items, and submit requests for requisition of replacement tools/items to Government personnel. Inspect tools, parts, and equipment for defects, wear, and damage, perform maintenance, and engrave or attach identification tags.

**The Role**
