Providing Journeyman-level support with minimum supervision, exercising independent judgment and decision-making within the framework of oral and written guidance, accepted trade practices, processes, and procedures while accomplishing assignments. What You Will Do * Determine speeds and feeds, coolants, and lubricants or abrasives to be used to cut, turn, drill, mill, bore, tap, thread, ream, lap, hone, shape, and grind or finish items. Machine materials include stainless steel, Monel, K-Monel, copper, brass, aluminum, nylon, Teflon, and various plastics. * Follow procedures set forth in FWP and CWP. Work to the requirements of applicable ship drawings, blueprints, technical manuals, and other approved technical references.
