HCCSC company history timeline
In 1966-67 the high school year began with a split campus comprised of the old Huntington Township High School building, located on the south edge of town, and the existing Huntington High School building, located in the center of town.
In October 1969 high school students began occupying the not-yet-complete soon-to-be-named Huntington North High School building located at 450 MacGahan Street on the north side of town.
Huntington North opened in 1969; the school opened over a month late into the school year due to construction projects.
A physical fitness complex was added in 2003.
A November 2019 referendum to build a new academic wing, performing arts wing and technical education wing failed.
With minimal repairs made to the building over 50 years, a 2019 test that resulted in high carbon dioxide levels led some parents to disenroll their children from the school.
