WLRH Promotions/Membership Specialist

WLRH Public Radio in Huntsville, Alabama (a licensee of Alabama Public Television) is seeking a full-time Promotions/Membership Specialist. The Promotions/Membership Specialist will work collaboratively with the Director of Radio and other WLRH staff members to help with membership, station events and other fund-raising activities. This position will also help communicate with WLRH's leadership donors and community partners to generate membership support. In addition, this position will perform general office duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
Assist WLRH staff members in creating and executing promotional plans for news stories, special programming and community outreach efforts.
Participate during fundraising and open house events.
Coordinate with the General Manager to support underwriting and membership activities.
Assist with daily management of our website.
Manage front office area and telephones to assist with questions from listeners, members and community partners.
Display an understanding of the relationship between WLRH's programming and its listening audience.
Oversee and maintain the member database and serve as primary point of contact for listener-members.
Manage the station's Public Service Announcement (PSA) program, including recording and scheduling ensuring compliance with FCC guidelines.
Assist Underwriting/Development teams in cultivating corporate donors.
Minimum Requirements
Familiarity with WLRH's programming, listening audience, and service area
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
Strong computer skills (including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and Adobe)
Experience with social media platforms
Preferred Requirements
Any combination of training and experience equivalent to: Graduation from a four-year college or university with major course work in public relations, communications, advertising, history, education or other related fields
Experience in promotions and/or fundraising.
Graphic design skills a plus.

Qualifications
