The Technical Specialist will be responsible for providing technical assistance, solving customer service queries, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues for the Hurco and Takumi product line. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Take ownership of the Customer Experience. * Identify and develop action plans to resolve repetitive product problems. * Reliably identify replacement part numbers for entire product line. * When required, travel to customer facilities to assist Field Service in the diagnosis and repair of Hurco and Takumi products or to train distributors and service engineers on new products and technology. * Compile, interpret, and distribute standard instructions, start-up demonstration guides, maintenance, problem diagnosis, and service bulletin information for the installation and repair of Hurco and Takumi products. * Responsible for follow up and expediting of orders, including removing parts from machinery for emergent repairs. * When assigned, identify, develop, and present Technical Service Training Programs including the creation of visual materials, training aids, and simulation equipment to new and existing Field Service Engineers, distributors, and customers. Competencies: * Able to develop a working technical knowledge of all Hurco and Takumi products through provided company training. * Ability to communicate effectively in verbal, written and presentation formats. * Ability to effectively work with others in a fast paced, customer first team environment. * Support, administer and enforce all applicable Company policies. Requirements: * Minimum 3 years Fanuc and/or Heidenhain control and PLC experience. * 3-5 years of machine service experience. * Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat. * Willingness to travel during the first year for training up to 75% of the time. * After the first year, willingness to travel as needed up to 15% of the time.
