Assigned specific supervisory functions by the Unit Director and is responsible for the ongoing evaluation and prioritization of activities to meet the changing unit demands. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Performs all duties detailed in the RN-Staff nurse job description.
* Demonstrates expertise in clinical judgment and decision-making
* Maintains sound clinical knowledge based on current standards of practice for area of accountability
* Promotes a collaborative multidisciplinary plan of care
* Validates effectiveness of assignments and appropriateness of nurse to patient ratios and staff skill level
* Develops the delegation skills of staff

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Graduate of nursing program.
* Experience as a practicing RN.

* Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
LICENSURE OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
* Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas.
