What will you be doing in this role?
The Biomedical Technician participates on wet- and dry- laboratory projects and may execute tasks requiring compliance with all Federal and State accrediting agency requirements and/or GLP. Responsible for assigned wet lab work, lab maintenance, and writing and recording controlled documents. Performs all activities strictly according to SOPs, with accurate documentation, and may assist quality control team with required testing activities. Installs and maintains laboratory equipment to ensure accurate functioning of devices. Assists in addressing complex issues and troubleshooting.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of process development tasks for multiple clients following standard operating procedures that will be different for each project based on the type work.
Writes and maintains good documentation in laboratory notebooks, data records/transfers, SOPs, and batch records.
Drafts standard operating procedures and maintains computer database.
Verifies samples received, logs samples into systems, and may transport to the appropriate environment within the facility for storage following SOPs.
Performs lab maintenance duties, including glassware cleaning and sterilization.
Maintains lab equipment and related records.
Prepares and maintains material inventories, and places orders for equipment and supplies.
Assists in the operation of specialized equipment and machinery.
Ensures all activities align with regulatory guidelines and safety standards, as appropriate. Interacts with core laboratory customers with integrity and respect and communicates effectively with the customers.
Qualifications
Education:
Associate Degree in biology, biochemistry, or related science or engineering specialization is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience & Skills:
One (1) year of experience working in a lab or biotech environment.
A minimum of one (1) year working with biomedical equipment, including maintenance and/or testing, is required.
Must have outstanding interpersonal, communication, organization skills, and the ability to work across company fields and functional units, and computer application experience.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements including Federal, FDA, State, and standards set by accrediting bodies.
Familiar with routine laboratory procedures, experimental protocols, and overall lab organization.
Knowledge of specialized equipment.

Job Description
Synergy Companies is looking for apprentice plumbing/HVACtechnicians to join our team. Synergy Companies works with Southern California utility companies to install tankless water heaters at low or even no cost for our customers. Candidates with experience in plumbing and electric work are preferred but not required. We are looking for motivated people who enjoy working with their hands. Individuals who are able to problem solve and think for themselves are a great fit for this position. This position will include steady, year-round employment.
Duties/Expectations:
Willing to learn and follow instructions
Attend company meetings as required
Be responsible for company equipment and vehicle
Provide top-quality customer service
Physically able to lift and move equipment
Willing to work with hands
Being on time for scheduled appointments and meetings
Skills/Qualifications:
Pass drug and background screening
High school graduate or GED
Competent in working with your hands and power tools
Customer etiquette and communication
Problem-solving
Tech savvy (comfortable with computers, tablets, cell phones, and Google based programs)
Valid Driver's License and good Driving Record
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Bilingual a plus

QUALIFICATIONS:
1+ years experience in HVAC preventative maintenance, service, and repair
Have own industry-specific tools
Strong work ethic and desire to gain industry knowledge
Problem solving, critical thinking, and mechanical aptitude skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Physical ability to perform the requirements of the position
A valid driver's license and clean driving record
Available and willing to work overtime and the 24 emergency on-call cycle

ROLE:
Our HVAC Service Technicians are responsible for the operations, repairs, replacement and preventative maintenance of commercial air conditioning, heating systems, and refrigeration systems. This includes air handlers, fan coil units, exhaust fans, make-up air units, reach-in refrigeration, walk-in refrigeration, and ice machines. Job duties include:
Perform skilled repair or maintenance operations, using equipment such as hand or power tools
Provide quality customer service while troubleshooting and diagnosing air conditioning, refrigeration, heating units and various other associated equipment
Maintain detailed documentation of service work performed, with complete reports, parts needed, and condition of systems needed for any follow ups
Assist with providing estimates, proposals, follow-ups, bid preparation and parts orders when assigned or needed
Participate in rotating on-call schedule as needed
Maintain good working order of company vehicle, equipment, and electronics
Travel to job sites in service area and work with dispatcher to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer
Pay: $25 - $35 an hour
