The (HVAC) Controls Technician is responsible for the design, configuration, and operation of complete Temperature Control building
control systems, and other low voltage control sub-systems to meet the intent of project requirements.
What are we looking for
Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
Two (2) years experience with mechanical and/or electrical engineering systems.
Demonstrated knowledge of the construction or HVAC industry.
Basic networking knowledge.

* Perform minor repairs of all buildings and equipment with minimal supervision including but not limited to grow lights, fans, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.
* Perform major repairs at the direction and under the supervision of the Facilites Manager. Major repairs may include working alongside and coordinating with external contractors or licensed tradesmen. Repairs can include emergency situations and/or scheduled repairs.
* Responsibly use and/or operate vehicles, tools, materials, parts, maintenance supplies and equipment when necessary and ensure that they are used safely, effectively, and efficiently.
* Install and maintain new equipment (assembling racks, installing dehumidifiers, etc.) as directed by the Facilities Manager.
* Troubleshoots minor maintenance issues involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment.

Responsibilities
Install and design heating and cooling equipment and systems for residential and commercial clients
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including company vehicles and equipment
Utilize a company-supplied iPad to document installations and complete work orders accurately
Collect payment for services rendered when required
Address and follow up on any equipment issues to ensure customer satisfaction
Submit all required paperwork to the office, ensuring completeness and accuracy
Maintain minimum required stock on the company vehicle for installations
Recommend and sell equipment, service agreements, and accessories when appropriate for the customer
Qualifications
At least 1 year of experience in HVAC installation (preferred)
EPA Type II Certification (preferred)
Valid NY Drivers License
Ability to work effectively in both residential and commercial environments
Strong work ethic and commitment to excellent customer service
Reliable, team-oriented, and able to maintain a drug-free workplace
Compensation
$21.00 $35.00 per hour, based on experience and performance. Additional earning potential through commission, bonuses, and tips.

The Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair and up-time of Admar Supply and customer equipment.
Essential Functions:
Inspect and tag returned rental equipment noting any damage or other necessary repairs.
Using information on repair tag, and with input from Service Writer and Service Manager, troubleshoot equipment and make necessary repairs. Make sure equipment is properly repaired on a timely basis.
Report problems or issues with repairs to Service Manager. Provide detailed description of problem/issue and recommend solution, both short-term and long term.
Ensure all repairs have been fully and properly completed. Perform complete inspection of equipment to make sure no other repairs are needed; safety features are in place and working properly; equipment is clean and decals are readable and unit is rent-ready condition.
Complete all required paperwork on a timely basis; thoroughly complete all forms and reports making sure all entries are correct and legible.
Work in a safe manner obeying all safety rules; keep shop area clean and organized. Correctly use safety equipment and PPE as required.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts. Identify root cause of failure(s)
Ability to interpret and follow instructions, solve problems involving concrete variables within well-defined situations.
Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics and diagrams necessary.
Complete internal and vendor training as assigned.
