Purpose and Scope
Under minimal supervision, The Facilities Maintenance Tech III is responsible for providing maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support for facility, utility, process, and HVAC systems and equipment in all Tolmar facilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for engineering support and maintaining equipment and processes to include the construction, modification and improvement of equipment, with assistance from Facility Maintenance Tech I and II staff.
Train Facility Maintenance Tech I and II staff in the operation, maintenance and repairs of utility and facility equipment.
Complete all work in compliance with cGMP regulations and with minimal impact to the production process.
Maintain content of training records for department, in compliance with cGMP standards.
Develop and maintain preventative maintenance SOPs and programs for equipment and systems.
Provide support for completion of deviations and investigations.
Support company audits.
Establish and maintain records that demonstrate conformity with FDA, GMP, and SOP standards.
Maintain and operate USP water systems including Reverse Osmosis, WFI MES, UV systems and Clean Steam generators.
Maintain and operate plant steam boilers.
Knowledge of electrical distribution systems and standby generators.
Confer with management, quality and production managers to resolve problems found.
Provide maintenance support for engineering projects.
Perform repairs and scheduled maintenance on process and utility equipment and systems. Recommend and assist with the implementation of measures/processes to improve operating conditions of equipment.
Support the installation and validation of new equipment.
Maintain spare parts inventory for assigned equipment, including monitoring levels, initiating requisitions, completing budget review, and ordering necessary materials.
Requisition building and maintenance supplies, machinery, parts and equipment as needed.
Perform electrical troubleshooting and component replacement as needed.
Troubleshoot and repair utility equipment including boilers, chillers, air handlers and USP water systems (if qualified).
Perform general building maintenance, repairs and projects (if qualified).
Perform plumbing repairs (if qualified).
Participates in required annual hazardous waste training. Hazardous waste involvement may include but is not limited to the handling of universal waste such as spent fluorescent tubes, spent filters, batteries, and used oil. Respond to spills per CP 030-0202 Chemical Spill Response.
Demonstrate strict adherence to all Tolmar safety requirements to develop a strong safety culture.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to carry out electrical troubleshooting to root-cause, mechanical repairs, maintenance and set up of production equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair facility support equipment; including HVAC and all utilities equipment.
Proficiency in welding and machining preferred.
Plumbing experience preferred.
High mechanical aptitude; ability to analyze the mechanics of new projects for the most efficient outcome, and to troubleshoot mechanical / electrical devices and repair them to good operating condition.
Advanced computer skills to include Word, Excel and Outlook..
Ability to work well with employees and outside contractors.
Neat and organized.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple job functions
Acceptable driving record and valid Colorado Drivers License required.

Education & Experience
At least six years in a trade (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Mechanical, etc.) position, preferably in a GMP production environment.
Knowledge and experience working in clean room and aseptic areas .
Journeyman trade license preferred.
Completion of some accredited training in electrical and plumbing preferred.
Working Conditions
Manufacturing and warehouse environment.
Work environment will include office, outdoors, and mechanical rooms.
Requirements may include working evenings, weekends and some holidays as required
Participate in an "on-call" rotation with other Facilities Technicians
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, squat, kneel and lift a minimum of 50lbs.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay: $31.00 - $36.00 per hour, depending on experience

Facilities Operations has the responsibility of providing a wide range of services to all administrative departments, student programs, and all academic schools and departments. Purpose and Scope
Under general supervision, provide overall facility maintenance support for all Tolmar Facilities. This position is responsible for assisting with monitoring and maintaining the facilities and utility systems for laboratory and manufacturing client groups.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform basic maintenance operations on facility/utility, and HVAC equipment (filter change-out, Log Readings, etc.)
Assist Senior Technicians in performing repairs and preventative maintenance activities on equipment and or facilities.
Perform basic troubleshooting on Plant and Clean Utility Systems.
Provide maintenance support for engineering projects.
Enter all data into the work order system in a timely manner.
Establish and maintain records that conform to FDA, GMP, and SOP standards.
Assist in the development and revision of SOPs.
Perform various housekeeping duties (work areas, equipment, mechanical room).
Process purchase requisitions and order Preventative Maintenance parts and accessories as required.
Maintain cGMP Training as required.
Assist with moving and assembly of office furniture, conference room setup, etc..
Perform basic facility maintenance and repairs such as plumbing, lighting, and painting.
Responsible for assisting with the spare parts inventory for assigned equipment, including monitoring levels and initiating requisitions.
Participates in required annual hazardous waste training. Hazardous waste involvement may include but is not limited to the handling of universal waste such as spent fluorescent tubes, spent filters, batteries, and used oil. Respond to spills per CP 030-0202 Chemical Spill Response.
Perform other duties as assigned.
