This position will be responsible for the daily operation, preventive maintenance, and repairs including HVAC, plumbing, safety, fire protection and security systems to ensure proper facility operations. **Minimum Required Qualifications:**

What you will do

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are hiring an HVACTechnician (Union Local 32BJ) to join our Engineering Team. The HVACTechnician installs and repairs various air quality systems. Main duties include locating and diagnosing maintenance problems on equipment, conducting warranty services and quickly performing emergency repairs on certain equipment items. In addition, the HVACTechnician is responsible for installing and testing geothermal HVAC systems to ensure compliance and functionality with safety requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The HVACTechnician must complete all tasks and assignments assigned by the Director of Engineering, including but not limited to:
· Maintaining systems or installing new units
· Removing old systems
· Conducting inspections
· Troubleshooting issues
· Ordering equipment
· Meeting local HVAC codes
· Maintaining any warrantee maintenance
· Keeping record of service orders
· The successful candidate will be required to adhere to the terms of an existing Union Agreement (Local 32BJ)
· Managing special projects as assigned by Director of Engineering
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Preferred:
· High school diploma or GED
· Previous experience as a HVACTechnician
· HVAC certification
· CFC certification
The following capabilities and distinctions are strongly preferred:
· Technical knowledge of geothermal systems for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of geothermal heat pumps and related equipment
· Soldering and braising skills
· Knowledge of local building codes
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics
· Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Able to lift heavy equipment
· On-site with frequent movement around the Club both indoors and outdoors
PAY RANGE
$26.00 - $28.00 hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
