Performs scheduled, routing preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment/systems under contract agreement by inspecting, adjusting, cleaning, and calibrating systems and checking out equipment to ensure it's in satisfactory working order. Completes maintenance, within assigned hours, in a manner that reduces emergency calls and results in achieving the goal of zero call backs. Assists with the start-up of new equipment or system installation and adjusts as needed to ensure the system is operational. May plan schedules, lay out basic electrical equipment installations, and assist in the start-up and check-out of new systems installations. Presents a professional image both in personal and vehicle appearance. Performs work assignments in a safe manner and within specified cost limits. Promotes, builds, and maintains good customer relations and assists with contract retention.     Job DescriptionDescription: Encon is seeking a motivated Apprentice HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our HVAC team. This role is designed for individuals pursuing a professional trades license in the HVAC industry. Apprentices will work directly alongside experienced technicians, gaining hands-on field training and professional development while supporting a wide range of mechanical systems. Requirements: Job Responsibilities · Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment, including filter changes, belt replacements, lubrication, coil cleaning, and general equipment inspection. · Assist in diagnosing and repairing malfunctions in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. · Receive, complete, and document work orders in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner. · Inspect jobs upon completion to ensure work areas are clean, safe, and professional. · Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean, safe, and operable condition. · Follow all Encon Service Standards related to Safety, Responsiveness, Accuracy, Professionalism, Productivity, and Teamwork. Required Skills & Experience · High school diploma required. · Ability to operate a computer and software applications, including email and work-order management platforms. · Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. · Ability to safely use hand and power tools common to the HVAC industry. · Strong communication skills-both written and verbal. · Professional demeanor and commitment to delivering excellent customer service. · High moral standards, reliability, and a strong work ethic. · Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
