Position Summary
The retail Sales and Service Technician (SST) is a unique hybrid role for stores and is intended as a key pipeline for future career-growth within Firestone Complete Auto Care. This role is primarily responsible for serving the customer through assessing needs, recommending appropriate products and/or services, performing entry-level vehicle services, and ensuring customer satisfaction through thorough and timely completion of services.

What you will do
Under minimal supervision, conducts preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning and general servicing of systems (including detailed troubleshooting of systems). Responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on site, customer interface. o Provides sketches of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections and drawings. May assist with job layouts and bid proposals.

o Communicates with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction. Meets regularly with customers to become familiar with operating problems. o Other duties related to the installing, commissioning and servicing of building controls and facilities management systems and energy management systems, as assigned.
o Assists in the design and configuration of building control systems as defined by the contract documents. Creates flow diagrams, sequence of operations, and bill of material, network layouts and electrical schematics as required.
o Assists in developing and testing software programs necessary to operate the system per the project requirements' intent.
o Compiles and/or completes project as built and close-out documentation.
o Assists in the coordination and creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
o Selects, orders, and tracks the delivery of materials for assigned.
o Assists in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required. Assists in validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.

Key Responsibilities:
* Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of light commercial HVAC systems, including package units, split systems, boilers, and associated controls
* Inspect, test, and service compressors, motors, belts, pulleys, burners, heat exchangers, condensate systems, and safety controls
* Safely handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA regulations, including brazing and un-sweating copper components
* Diagnose and repair airflow, ductwork, mechanical, and electrical system issues
* Conduct service inspections, asset inspections, and complete detailed service documentation using mobile technology
* Perform minor plumbing repairs (fixtures, drains, faucets, toilets) and limited electrical work as permitted by state regulations

Required Skills / Education:
* High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or trade school education preferred
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC and general facilities maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

This job requires employees to climb ladders, and work in high places.
