What you will do
Our Early Career Sales Engineering (BEST) Program is a 6-month technical sales development program for Recent College Graduates that focuses on creating market share by strategic selling Johnson Controls' HVAC products and services to commercial customers. In this program you will have a chance to apply your technical engineering knowledge and business acumen to work with customers to better understand their product and project needs by being the subject matter expert. As part of the program, you will participate in a 6-month training and development program combining classroom, field orientation, and on the job training. You will learn our mechanical equipment and service offerings, customer relationship techniques and leadership skills in preparation for supporting customers in your territory alongside the sales team. You will be prepared to consult with architects, engineers, and building owners on product selections; partner with and learn from internal experts and deliver on business goals. You will be a critical part of a local sales team and a national network of sales professionals.

Your Role as a Commercial HVACTechnician
As a Commercial HVACTechnician, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality service to our clients. Your responsibilities will include:

Required:
EPA Certification

Physical Requirements:

Lift up to 75 lbs. and maneuver in confined spaces (e.g., crawlspaces, attics)
Willingness to wear required PPE

Understanding of Ohms Law. Ability to use multi-meters to read voltage, current and resistance values. Must be able to troubleshoot basic electrical circuits.
Understands the process of treating air to simultaneously control its temperature, humidity, and distribution. Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings.
Understands basic heating cycle to include identifying components in heating system, understanding how each component works, diagnosing problems in the heating system using a gas pressure test and other devices for routine maintenance and to troubleshoot.
Understands the theory of combustion and how it relates to combustible fuels such as gas and oil.

This position involves frequent exposure to outdoor conditions and varying environments, including mechanical rooms, rooftops, and active construction sites. Noise levels may range from low to high depending on the job location.

What you will do
Performs assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. Troubleshoots and resolves basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems. * Understands basic heating cycle to include identifying components in heating system, understanding how each component works, diagnosing problems in the heating system using a gas pressure test and other devices for routine maintenance and to troubleshoot.
* Understands the theory of combustion and how it relates to combustible fuels such as gas and oil.
