Most duties performed under general supervision. Duties and Responsibilities Perform routine preventative maintenance according to procedures to ensure that equipment runs smoothly, facility/building systems operate efficiently and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. Understand the procedures and safety measures in area of specialization. May assist with assembly, install and repair of electrical, HVAC or plumbing systems. Diagnose and repair machine/equipment malfunctions. Assist with building/repairing partitions, floors, windows, doors, roofs, woodwork, plaster, drywall, counters, benches and other wooden structures such as sheds and outbuildings. Check motors, belts, fluid levels, replace filters and perform other maintenance actions on vehicles and other equipment. Operate cutting torches and welding equipment. Perform and keep track of scheduled PMs on all HVAC equipment. Keep list of supplies needed for upcoming jobs. Complete and log daily work orders and job assignments. Safely operate vehicles such as zero turn mowers, tractors, side-by-sides and vehicles. Use tools properly and safely, such as grinders, drills, impacts, hammer drill, chain saw, limb saw, chop saw, backpack blowers and weed eaters. Transport items by hand, truck or motorized vehicle or machinery. May trim and prune trees and clear undergrowth; care for established landscaping by mowing, watering, edging, mulching, aerating, weeding and trimming; plant seeds, bulbs and plants; maintain flower beds. Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical testing devices. Gather and remove litter. Keep work areas clean and organized. Adhere to company safety policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Communicate effectively and respectfully with team members and other departments on daily basis. Must report to work on time daily and be dependable. Supervision and Responsibility Works under general supervision of the Facilities Supervisor. Knowledgeable about area of specialization including concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on pre-established guidelines, experience to plan and accomplish goals. Exercises judgement to make recommendations for improvement. May assist with training new employees and may supervise volunteers. Education/Training and Experience High school diploma or GED required. Three to five years of facilities and/or grounds maintenance experience required. Must be able to read and follow written and verbal instructions and write legibly and accurately. Training Preferred: Facilities Maintenance Experience and Skills Required Basic knowledge of HVAC/Electrical systems Basic Plumbing Knowledge Duties require driving Chimp Haven vehicles. Must have a valid drivers license and meet Chimp Havens motor vehicle operating standards. Building maintenance, drywall repair, painting, welding/fabricating, carpentry and vehicle maintenance/repair Strong communication skills as well as computer knowledge to input date, review and reply to daily emails. This work will require bending, carrying, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, squatting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, watching, reading, speaking, listening and writing. Must be able to routinely lift and carry 50 pounds for short distances. Work involves considerable outdoor work in various weather conditions. Potential exists for animal bites and scratches. We are actively seeking a Facility Support Technician at Hydroline, a Synergen company, in Bossier City, Louisiana that would be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized facility. They will oversee all deliveries received and ensure the placement of items. They will be responsible for understanding and adhering to company standards and expectations. Quality & Safety will be a focal point in all matters.
