Job Skills / Requirements General Responsibilities: The HVAC Technician is responsible for diagnosis, installation, repairs and maintenance for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in a commercial and industrial building environment. This role requires an individual with extensive field experience and a solid understanding of HVAC systems, adhering to mechanical codes, and safety standards. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5AM - 1:30PM Pay Rate: $40 - $50/hour Essential Functions: Inspections, installation, adjustments, repairs and maintenance on HVAC systems including boilers, fan coil units, air handlers, cooling towers, pumps, fans, VAV boxes, rooftop units, pneumatic systems, fan coil units, lab ventilation, etc. Refrigeration inspections, adjustments, appliance repairs and maintenance. Usage of HVAC automated management systems for monitoring. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults. Document work orders and maintenance activities in the ticketing system. Adhere to client's safety regulations, legal restrictions, and building codes Fire safety system inspection, repair and maintenance. Perform End of Shift Inspections (EOS) following company guidelines, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met at the end of each shift. Assist in emergencies, as needed. All other duties as assigned. Skills & Experience: While not mandatory, proficiency in English is highly recommended to perform the responsibilities of this role effectively. Holiday work may also be required. Physical Demands: The position requires frequent standing, walking, climbing, and lifting of up to 50 pounds. The HVAC Technician will regularly use their hands to handle tools and operate equipment, and must occasionally work in cramped spaces or at heights. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception. Good hygiene skills are required. Must live within reasonable driving distance of Pasadena/Los Angeles.
