Primary Purpose of Position
The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and completing electronic/ mechanical repairs of specified HVAC equipment and water heaters. This role ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all local and national codes.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Perform and train others in preventative maintenance on all residential heating, air conditioning and ventilation equipment.
Assist in sealed system HVAC, water heaters, or advanced appliance repair as part of training and development.
Provide exceptional customer service and communicate clearly with homeowners regarding work performed and recommendations.
Complete all required documentation, including service tickets, time logs, and material usage.
Ability to be on-call and respond to emergency situations
Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
Adherent to all safety protocols and company policies.
Minimum Qualifications
3 years of work experience, or a combination of work and accredited trade or vocational training equaling 5 years, in basic heating, ventilation, and air conditioning service
All required State licensing
Valid EPA-608 Technician Certification, Type 2 or higher
Advanced knowledge of the tools and materials related to the service field
Advanced skills in servicing appliances or heating and air conditioning equipment
Strong communication and customer service skills
Advanced skills in servicing gas and electric water heaters
Advanced skills in sales with the ability to recommend and promote all services offered by the company

What you will do
Perform HVAC Control systems programming, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and preventative maintenance as it is related to mechanical, electrical, and low voltage control components.

Loading Johnson Controls field and network level controller software.
