We are looking for an individual who will lead the production of planning documents, working closely with our staff of professional planners to provide technical content. In this role, the individual will coordinate, produce, and edit materials that raise awareness of community planning initiatives, invite public participation, gather feedback on draft ideas, and capture the community vision in clear, accessible writing that supports long-term decision making. Documents will cover topics such as land use, development, economic vitality, downtown revitalization, parks and recreation, and bicycle and pedestrian connectivity. Responsibilities will include coordinating content, assisting with writing, identifying the “story” behind the document, leading quality control, and assisting with in document production. WHAT YOU'LL DO Lead coordination and scheduling for document production tasks. Serve as the lead editor for reports, slide decks, public meeting materials, event flyers, websites, and other planning documents. Work with planning staff to prepare document outlines, support planners in drafting technical content, assist in writing content, and complete quality control reviews. Implement a consistent style guide across all work. Support document production using InDesign. Coordinate with a graphic designer on document layouts and visual presentation of planning documents.
