Job Summary
Employees in this position use a variety of methods to process parts in preparation for plating and other coatings. The operators perform operations in accordance with Military and OEM specifications. This is a trainee operator position in our Anodize department. Employees in this position will process a variety of parts in our Anodize department. Anodize Operators may be required to join the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program*. The Anodize Operators perform operations in accordance with Military, Industry and OEM specifications.
* FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requires an initial drug test including a screen for THC, subject to quarterly Drug & BAT testing.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with experienced Anodize Operator to complete work and prioritize tasks for On-Time delivery.
* Follow technique card, customer Purchase Orders and drawings, and instructions from experienced Anodize Operators to prepare and process parts; prepare, understand, and document technique cards.
* Prepare parts prior to operations including racking; use proper tooling and fixtures, when applicable.
* Legibly sign off on work once completed and Operator Self Verification inspection has occurred.
* General review of paperwork and Operator Self Verification inspection of job to ensure all previous operations were completed. Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
* Knowledge of pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
* Familiar with Quality Assurance requirements & rework procedures.
* Be familiar with engineering drawing notations.
* Be familiar with the safety precautions & know how to avoid injury to personnel.
* Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to drive positive change in productivity, delivery, and service. Be involved in Kaizen events as needed either as a participant or supporter.
* Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above.

Summary Description:
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for execution of the tactical supply chain for their assigned parts, meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), meeting department expectations, and managing the daily tasks of the tactical supply chain plan. Also must have in-depth understanding and assist in stocking strategies, data management, and they are sized to meet inventory plan. Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Evaluate procurement activities and procedures and make recommendations for improvements for processes and contracts.

Perform negotiations for contracts for cost, contract language and terms and conditions, leading to cost savings.
Schedules orders based on Oracle MRP data to ensure products are available to support Aftermarket and production schedules and comply with departmental goals.
Meets or exceeds mutually agreed upon inventory turn and inventory reduction departmental goals.

Maintains part setup in the system level in MRP system.
Prepares and communicate with the supplier, information on MRP exception, open order reports to ensure supplier will comply with delivery commitments.

Ensures supplier information including product lead time, supplier issues (e.g., product defect), and supplier developments are communicated internally at Red Dot.
