Primary Duties and Responsibilities
* Maintains a positive attitude; creates an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork.

* Maintains consistent speed of service to the customer by ensuring all store-staffing requirements are met.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

Education and Experience
High school or equivalent experience from on-the-job training and sanitation courses. Over one year of related work experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities (Direct Reports)
* Instructs, assigns, reviews and plans work of others.
* Maintains standards, coordinates activities, allocates personnel, acts on employee problems, and selects new employees.
* Has the authority to approve employee discipline.
* Has the authority to recommend employee transfer, discharge, and salary increases.
Physical Requirements
* Must be physically able to exert up to 100 pounds of force (shared team lifting) occasionally; exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently; and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
* Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), and field of vision.
* Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Working Conditions
This position is frequently exposed to temperature extremes and dampness. There are possible equipment movement hazards from a pallet jack, electrical shock, and exposure to cleaning chemicals and solvents. This is a fast paced work environment.
Equipment Used to Perform Job
Standard equipment used in a coffee shop environment, cash register, can opener, thermometers, knives, dishwasher, ice machine, scales, pop machine, calculator, computer, RPM, steamer, fax, copier, telephone.
Financial Responsibility
Responsible for company assets including equipment and merchandise.
Contacts
Has daily contact with customers, employees, suppliers/vendors, and the general public. Occasional contact with local, federal or state regulatory agencies regarding inspections.
Confidentiality
Has access to confidential information including, employee compensation, monthly results, quarterly inventory reports, sales and profit sheets, and warehouse pricing.
The anticipated hourly starting wage for this position is $15.50 to $19.50 depending on experience.

OVERVIEW:
DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a passionate, people-first store leader to oversee store operations in their area of the store.
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for driving the highest level of brand and operational excellence throughout the store by ensuring our team is delivering hassle-free and engaging customer service to everyone who enters one of our stores. They prioritize teammate coaching, development, and wellbeing while staying engrossed in financial metrics, store performance, and short/long term planning.
Responsible for managing the day-to-day operational aspects of their store department.
Operationally plans and organizes both short-term and long-term, with the guidance of the Store Manager.
Actively recruits in the community and supports opportunities for teammates to give back to their community.
Partners with store leadership team to hire a strong, inclusive, and diverse team and manage store workforce planning (including payroll budget and scheduling).
Holds team accountable for meeting operational guidelines, brand standards, customer service expectations and company policies.
Drives shrink results through compliance to all guidelines involved with safety, loss prevention, and cash-handling procedures.
Transparently communicates and finds creative ways to build an engaging environment for the team.
Passion for coaching and development of oneself and others; infuses learning into day-to-day leading.
Creates an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates & customers) feels safe, welcome, and is treated with respect.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 1-3 years of retail management experience (or customer-focused experience)
· Strong problem-solving ability and analytical skills
· Flexible availability - including nights, weekend, and holidays

3 years Retail Store Manager experience or 5 years of related management/customer focused experience
Strong problem-solving ability and analytical skills
Proficiency in MS Office
Must have strong people management skills and an ability to develop talent.
