    A Rides Unit Supervisor Intern is a position in which you will gain valuable leadership skills. You will be leading and working alongside a ride crew and assisting with department incentives and events throughout the season. Responsibilities: Attend required Human Resources Discovery, Rides Department training, and specific ride training. Adhere to Six Flags Standards of Appearance and Attendance policy as stated in the Six Flags Handbook. Provide courteous greetings and answer any Guest questions. Respond to and resolve Guest comments whenever possible. Ensure Guest safety and satisfaction during their visit. Enforce all rider restrictions including monitoring and measuring for height requirements. Assist with pairing up of single riders and proper grouping techniques to ensure greater capacity. Maintain and update the Daily Operations Report and take hourly throughput readings. Respond to any emergency situation in the area and maintain control until a Section Supervisor arrives. Monitor and enforce Park line jumping and smoking policies. Clean ride units and ride areas as needed, including Guest illnesses. Assist with downtime situations and evacuation, if ride cannot be restarted. Facilitate Fast Lane program and work the position at participating rides. Be able to communicate proper hand signals as called for during ride operation. Watch ride and waiting Guests during the ride cycle. Physically check restraints and manually open when necessary. Assist Guests as they exit the ride. Stand at the control panel of the ride and operate the ride by pressing appropriate buttons, visually monitoring panel for flashing lights/solid lights, and be prepared to stop the ride during critical situations. Give announcements via a public address system when necessary. Operate the secondary control panel and visually monitor ride during operation and be prepared to stop the ride during critical situations. Complete ride certification tests, corrected to 100% proficiency. Assist with Leadership Training Programs. Perform daily ride area inspections and complete all paperwork. Assign daily position and break rotations. Counsel and correct Team Members as necessary. Serve as liaison between Team Members and Supervisors. Hold crew and safety meetings. Complete Witness Statements as needed. Perform test rides to ensure continued safety before operation. Report immediately any unsafe acts to the Supervisor. Train and certify Team Members as needed. Shadow Rides Section Supervisor, Rides Duty Manager, and two additional departments Assist with department event planning and execution. Successfully complete the International Ride Operator Certification (iROC) course through General Rides Training. Obtain certification for Attendant and Operator positions on all rides within assigned unit. Successfully complete and pass the Rides Leadership Training Program which includes becoming a certified iROC Trainer. May be asked to assist in the Ride Information Center Become General certified in the Supplemental Restraint Harness program. Qualifications: Minimum Age:18 Must be able to work all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays where at least 50% of an individual's availability must include closing shifts. Must possess above average communication skills. Must react well in stressful and emergency situations. Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak and understand the English language. Must be able to stand/walk for up to 5 hours at a time and as many as 16 hours a day. Must be able to walk up to 5 miles per day over various surfaces. May be exposed to: heights, spinning objects or moving water. Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions Must be professional, self-motivated, the ability to multi-task and have an enthusiastic attitude Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others

    Join the Gateway Grizzlies Professional Baseball Team as a Ticketing Operations Intern for the 2026 season! The internship offers students the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in professional sports through our dynamic internship program. The internship runs from May to September and does not end early if interns complete their required hours. The Gateway Grizzlies are located in Sauget, IL and have been a part of the Frontier League since 2001. The Grizzlies made the playoffs in 2025 for the third consecutive year! Check us out: ************************ Qualifications: Must be for college credit. Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to work effectively in a team environment Must be able to problem solve quickly and work efficiently in an intense environment. Able to meet deadlines and balance multiple tasks. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.). Must be willing and able to lift items up to 50 lbs. for set up and take down of games and events. Flexible to work long days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities: Answer phone calls and everyday questions about the Gateway Grizzlies organization. Work the ticket window assisting with customer getting and locating their tickets Assist and make sales calls from generated leads lists. Develop ticket packages with a promotional item for games. Work as a ticket scanner, usher, team store associate, and giveaway team member. Stock Izzy's Den with Novelty items as well as fulfilling orders. Assist and learn from other departments throughout the entire internship. Available for community appearances with or as the mascot. Compensation: Unpaid internship (Candidates are required to work 25-40 hours per week for the internship) Candidates can work games and extra events for compensation at an hourly rate. Housing is not provided for the internship (Applicants should consider the Greater St. Louis Area for housing) Over the years, Gateway Grizzlies interns have gone on and worked in all 4 major league sports! Must be able to problem solve quickly and work efficiently in an intense environment. Able to meet deadlines and balance multiple tasks. Must be willing and able to lift items up to 50 lbs. for set up and take down of games and events. Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented. Flexible to work long days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities: Managing, coordinating, and assisting employees in an assigned concession area. Creating and maintaining a clean, safe and fun ballpark for all fans and players. Assisting in inventory controls to ensure that the facility is adequately stocked for all events. Ensuring meals and areas are prepped and ready for teams before or after games. Coordinating all aspects of ballpark rentals- concerts, college games, city championships, etc. to provide the best possible experience to our clients. Assisting in all facets of preventative maintenance for the ballpark Managing employees, janitorial services, and security around the ballpark for games and events. Acting as the primary liaison between group sales and catering departments. Ensuring that facility is prepared to accommodate group outings each night. Helping and learning about end-of-night finances and reports. Assisting in grounds and field maintenance around the ballpark Answering phone calls & everyday questions about the Gateway Grizzlies organization Assisting and learning from other departments throughout the entire internship. Being available for community appearances with or as the mascot.
