Responsibilities * Install, repair, and maintain equipment, machinery, and facilities. * Troubleshoot, repair, and install components, as well as perform basic design, adjustment, and welding. * Possess knowledge of electrical power, hydraulic power, air power, PLC, light curtains, safety devices, and repair and replacement of test cables. * Read blueprints, engineering sketches, or designs and recognize details and variations. * Keep accurate records for replacement part ordering and regular equipment inspection. * Work with rigging and scaffolding, using ropes, chains, cables, hoists, jacks, and lift trucks to move heavy equipment. * Operate powered hand tools and occasionally perform welding projects. * Use precision measuring instruments and understand how components fit and work together. * Communicate effectively on issues such as scope of work, completion schedules, problems, solutions, materials, or parts required. * Perform other duties as required and assigned. Essential Skills * Basic knowledge of electrical power (proper wire size for current, amps, Volts, AC, DC). * Understanding of hydraulic power (cylinders, valves, proper oil understanding force as applied). * Familiarity with air power (cylinders, valves, mufflers, and other air components). * Experience with PLC (ladder logic control and functions as pertains to machine operation). * Knowledge of light curtains and other safety devices. * Capability to repair and replace test cables. * Ability to read blueprints and engineering sketches. * Skill in operating powered hand tools and stationary machine tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electro-Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. * 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or military maintenance environment. * Experience with PLC programming, pneumatics, hydraulic, ladder logic, and industrial controls is a plus.
