This opportunity will be based in our Norwood, MA production facility and in our Norton, MA warehouse.
Monday through Saturday:

1st shift: 6:00am-2:30am

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:

The Fork Truck and Pallet Jack Mechanic will perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs to forklifts, pallet jacks, and floor scrubbers; troubleshoot and perform repairs to wheels, hydraulics, electrical components; and will inspect and replace general components as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs to both electric and propane forklifts
* Troubleshoot and repairs wheels, hydraulics, engines, electrical components, etc.
* Diagnose and perform necessary repairs to the engine, electrical, and other systems
* Inspect and replace general components as required.
* Follows all established safety rules and regulations and utilize required safety equipment.
* Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
* Take direction from the Maintenance Shift Supervisor and Maintenance Manager.
* Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

* Valid Massachusetts Driver's License required
* Experienced in the proper use of hand and power tools required
* Must have working knowledge of computers in a Windows environment including use of e-mail and similar technologies for communication and be adaptable to the use of portable technologies for the logging and tracking of work activities.
* Experienced use of CMMS system preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The below physical demands are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

* Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
* Regularly required to talk and hear
* Must have good vision and manual dexterity
* Ability to lift 75 pounds,
* Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, perform repetitive motions, see variations in color, climb and work from ladders.
* Must be able to work on a sustained basis in cold, high heat environment.

WORK ENVIROMENT:

* Exposure to approx. 85 decibel sound while on plant floor (appropriate ear protection will be provided)
* Required availability to work weekends and overtime as necessary.
* Company provided Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) must be worn while on the production floor
* Reliable, consistent, and punctual attendance is required.
