Under general supervision, Police Officers will look out for the welfare of the entire University, working closely with all University departments, utilizing a strong understanding of all laws including search and seizure, and probable cause; will patrol, respond to and handle incidents involving violations of law or campus regulations; will conduct thorough criminal investigations; testify in court; provide general information and assistance to the public; and apply progressive police principles and best practices. Required Education and Experience:
Current enrollment in, or successful completion of, a California Peace Officers Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) Basic Police Academy is required at the time of application. Possession of a valid Certificate of Completion of the Basic Academy is required at time of appointment.
Must be a high school graduate, pass the General Education Development (GED) Test indicating high school graduation level, or have attained a two-year or four-year degree from a college or university.
MINIMUM STANDARDS for POLICE OFFICER CANDIDATES (California Government Code Section 1031):
Must have no felony convictions.
Must have no misdemeanor convictions containing elements of domestic violence.
Must successfully complete fingerprint and records check including local, state and federal criminal records.
Must satisfy citizenship requirements detailed in Government code 1031 (a) & 1031.5. Be a U. S. citizen, or a permanent resident alien who has applied for citizenship and obtains citizenship within three years of application date.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age by the time of sworn appointment.
Must have good moral character as determined by a thorough background investigation which will be conducted as prescribed in the P.O.S.T. Administrative Manual, and must be completed prior to appointment date.
Must be free from any physical, emotional, and mental condition which might adversely affect the exercise of powers of a police officer.
Must be able to read and write at the levels necessary to perform the job of a police officer as determined by the use of the P.O.S.T. Entry-Level Law Enforcement Test Battery or other job-related tests of reading and writing ability.
A valid California driver's license is required by time of appointment.

JOB SUMMARY
The Department of English at California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB) seeks to hire a lecturer qualified to teach a course in Audiology and Audiometry, in support of our Speech-Language Pathology Certificate and Minor programs:
ENG 5570: Audiology and Audiometry. Study of anatomy and physiology of the ear, as well as the central auditory processing system. Considers characteristics, assessment, and management of various hearing disorders.
Lecturers will teach courses we need covered in our Minor/Certificate program in Speech Language Pathology.
TYPICAL ACTIVITIES
Position involves preparing a syllabus and assignments, creating lessons and class activities, attending class weekly for the duration of the semester, grading assignments, holding weekly office hours, and responding to student communication in a timely manner.
Qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty, staff and students across a wide range of disciplines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
AuD or PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, Neuroscience, or a closely-related field.

Job Description Summary
In support of the Student Affairs Learning Outcomes, the Wellness and Recreation team manages multiple fitness and recreation facilities and coordinates a variety of on- and off-campus recreation and wellness education programming. Alongside professional staff and in collaboration with other team members, the Fitness Center Assistant is responsible for providing excellent customer service to all fitness center guests and assisting with day-to-day facility operations along with fitness center programs and services. The Fitness Center Assistant strives to create welcoming environments that contribute to the University by building community, increasing the students' pride in their university, and improving students' healthy sense of self. All Fitness Center Assistants are members of the Department of Student Engagement and the Division of Student Affairs.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Provide excellent, proactive customer service to all guests including accurate information to telephone and in-person questions regarding Chapman University and our facilities.
Along with Lead FCA and graduate assistants, the FCA will provide amenities, programs and services including GroupX sessions, special events, and sports and recreation gear checkout
Utilize Rec Portal management system to check in guests, coordinate programs, and monitor facility access
Complete regular "active laps" as assigned to clean, monitor and address safety problems, complete repairs, and provide visual security of the facilities and their furnishings/equipment
Ensure all equipment and furnishings are working properly and that facilities are clean and tidy
Complete routine maintenance and cleaning and submit work requests to the facility manager for major issues
Promote programs and services and provide support for activities and events taking place in the facilities
Post signs, daily schedules and other administrative tasks as required.
Attend all scheduled meetings and training sessions
Attend Fitness & Recreation staff meetings led by the Lead FCA staff
Assist in Student Engagement department-wide events
Assist in other duties as assigned including staffing other facilities when needed
Assist in washing and drying used hand and face towels and carting clean towels to and from both on-campus fitness centers using proper PPE.
Because of the student-facing nature of this role, remote work is not permitted. Student employees are encouraged to use sick pay when it is needed and available.
Required Qualifications
Little to minimal prior experience. Ability to learn support process. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

The start date and required training dates will be confirmed on an individual basis when an offer of employment is made:
Time Commitment (HIRED BEFORE AUGUST TRAINING)
Mandatory training August 11-15, 2025
Ability to work 6-9 hours per week as necessary in Fall and Spring semesters.
Late-night, early morning and weekend hours may be required, availability needs to include some early morning (5:45am), late evening (11:00pm), and weekend shifts.
Interterm work is available but not required.
Work during Finals Week in Fall and Spring is required.
Due to conflicts in training requirements and work expectations, Lead FCA's are not allowed to be Orientation Assistants, Resident Advisors, or Orientation Coordinators.
