Job Description
The Advisory & Assurance IT/Technology Manager will assist in the execution of the department's plan, budget, objectives, and goals by: building and directing technology focused cross‐departmental project teams; preparing and managing project budgets and staffing/resource allocations; developing and maintaining technology specific templates, methodologies, and tools supporting the department's portfolio of services; and assisting in the direction of the department's data analytics strategy. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven ability in leading diverse teams within simultaneous work streams on multiple projects while utilizing project management standards and performance management techniques. This role will report to the Director, Technology Advisory & Assurance and will manage staff‐level direct reports.
Responsibilities
Lead department advisory and assurance initiatives/services by managing projects end‐to‐end to deliver on scope, objectives, and expectations; gaining stakeholder approval and commitment throughout the project life cycle; educating and training project team members on appropriate tools and methodologies; developing and presenting regular updates / summaries for all relevant stakeholders.
Execute talent management strategies by assisting in the recruitment, selection, and orientation of advisory and assurance professionals; providing career coaching and professional development related to job expectations, responsibilities, and performance; suggesting reward and recognition programs; and assisting in the development of a training curricula to embed continuous improvement methodologies within the organization and establish a baseline of abilities, skills, and knowledge assumed of all department professionals.
Serve as an expert in technology related advisory and assurance opportunities by coordinating with department upper management to identify potential projects; contribute to the prioritization of department projects and services; develop strong, positive business relationships to understand business processes/risks, Cox industries, and the corresponding department service lines.
Qualifications
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field.
The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 1+ years experience in a related field; or 10 years' experience in a related field
1+ years of experience in management or lead role
6+ years of performing/leading technology-focused advisory/assurance projects; demonstrating creative, out-of-box thinking and solid project management principles to drive projects to completion.

As a Senior Financial Auditor, you will be responsible for evaluating the design and effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), with a focus on compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. This role partners closely with departments including Accounting, Finance, IT, and Operations to ensure financial and IT-related controls are well designed, documented, and operating effectively. Core Responsibilities:
Lead end‑to‑end control testing - plan and execute control assessments covering manual, automated (fully system‑driven) and IT‑dependent (e.g. system‑generated reports reviewed by users) controls, assess design and operating effectiveness via walkthroughs, collaborate with control owners to drive remediation, and ensure formal closure and documentation of test outcomes to ensure SOX compliance.

Assist in the audit of key systems and ERP platforms, with a preference for candidates familiar with Salesforce and Oracle ERP.
Provide support during system implementations or upgrades, ensuring internal controls are embedded and tested during transitional phases.
Partner with internal and external auditors to coordinate requests, provide documentation, and address inquiries efficiently.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
CPA

Strong data analytic skills with the ability to utilize SQL, ACL and perform advanced Excel/Google Sheet formulas.

There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. Job DescriptionZoox's System Design and Mission Assurance (SDMA) team constructs the Safety Case and validates that our vehicles are safe to be deployed for autonomous driving. The SDMA Platform Safety Assurance team enables Zoox to rapidly iterate and safely expand capabilities through trustworthy, innovative, and pragmatic safety engineering.
As a manager of systems verification and validation engineers at Zoox, you will be leading a team that works cross-functionally with requirements definition, vehicle engineering, and firmware development teams to build an integrated platform that is the foundation for safe autonomous driving. The team primarily develops and executes automated system HIL tests. You are responsible for the verification and validation strategy, test execution and reporting, and ensuring the Zoox Robots meet end-to-end safety and performance requirements in line with the goals of Zoox milestones.In this role, you will:
Lead, manage, and grow a team of Systems Verification Engineers who have expertise on the robot platform safety case and HIL testing.
Design effective and efficient test programs to achieve test coverage and full system validation of safety requirements and scenarios, drawing on analysis, simulation, Hardware in the Loop (HIL) testing, and vehicle testing.
Analyze system safety requirements to understand the safety concept and define test methodology, providing feedback on testability.
Design, develop, and operate test equipment and test automation infrastructure.
Develop and execute the technical and logistical planning of tests including cross-functional coordination with other teams: systems engineering, firmware, vehicle engineering, operations, software HIL, AI software, and program management.
Participate in change control board reviews of hardware and software changes to evaluate safety impact.
Qualifications
B.S. or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical degree
At least 7 years of relevant professional experiences in the fields of Systems Verification and Validation of electro-mechanical systems, including a minimum of 2 years managing a team
Possesses excellent EQ with an empathetic communication style that fosters connection, collaboration and motivation
Strong written and in-person communication skills
Experience with automated testing
Experience testing safety critical systems
Experience with fault injection testing
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with an autonomous vehicle development company, an automotive company, robotics technology company, or their suppliers
Experience with Python testing frameworks (pytest, robot, etc.)
Experience with the incorporation of AI technology into end-to-end test automation frameworks to improve efficiency and productivity
Experience with functional safety standards such as ISO 26262, ARP 4754, ARP 4761, or IEC 51511
Familiar with automotive communication protocols and tools: Ethernet, CAN, LIN
Base Salary Range
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
