Job Summary
The Official is a critical role in any sports field; responsible for enforcing rules while also cultivating a positive culture, acting as an on-field coach, and advocating for the programs. This role has a direct impact on players, coaches, and spectators each and every game day.
Responsibilities
Understand & enforce the i9 Sports rules books ensuring a fun, learning, and safety for all players
Teach & demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values
Keep time and score during the game; manage an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition
Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills
Qualifications
Excellent communication skills
Sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience
Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems
Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players
Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships
Ability to work a varied work schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, ~7 weeks)
Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check

Soccer coach
Information
Sessions run Monday through Friday evening and Saturday morning. Coaches will be provided with uniform, equipment, training and a curriculum to follow. Must have minimum 'E' coaching license or European equivalent.
Challenger is looking for coaches to begin working this Fall from mid-August for 9-10 weeks . This can lead to year round program and further opportunities with
Challenger Sports #1 soccer company in North America.
Training event will be held in August for applicants to attend. Location TBD.
Compensation
$18-$40 per hour, depending on experience.
Up to $420 per week for contracted coaches

Coaches Criteria
It is essential you are PERSONABLE with a highly ENERGETIC and ENTHUSIASTIC persona when engaging with the children and colleagues you create relationships with. We rely on responsible, professional and good communicators in all of our coaches.
Must have up to date current FIRST AID procedures.

The Position:
We are looking to hire an energetic and fun-loving Soccer Coach who will lead our children in fun and educational activities while ensuring safety for all.
New Coaches can work at a rate of $20 per hour. Our Coaches use individual attention to ensure every child is successful and a non-competitive approach to ensure classes are fun with a stress-free environment.
Our Coaches use positive reinforcement to encourage children to improve and celebrate achievements. Finally, our Coaches have a blast. They are open-minded and know that coaching is a continuous journey. All Coaches are open to feedback and strive to continue growing by attending regular trainings and following the Super Soccer Stars Coaching Manual.
The Schedule:
The majority of classes are held during school hours and on weekends.
The Location:
Classes are held at schools, parks, and recreational centers. Coaches are expected to travel short distances to class locations around Cuyahoga, Summit, and Geauga counties and surrounding areas.
Requirements
At least 18 years of age
Available to coach on weekends
Passion for working with children and helping them develop skills and confidence through soccer
Reliable transportation as classes are held at different locations within the territory
Experience working with children aged 12 months - 6 preferred but not required (teacher, substitute teacher, camp counselor, childcare providers)
CPR and First Aid Certification preferred but not required
Must have a clean, valid driver's license
Must pass both BCI & FBI background checks (includes DUI/DWI)
Attendance and punctuality are paramount
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to teach classes in an organized, structured, fun manner (training will be provided)
Ability to maintain energy and enthusiasm throughout every class
A genuine desire to create a joyful work environment
A natural flair for exuding positivity and energy in any situation
Creativity and the ability to think outside the box when needed
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with directors, teachers, parents, and children
