Job Description
All coaches start at the entry level as an Assistant Coach and once they complete our orientation program make $20 per 40min-60min session. Coaches who attend trainings and are punctual, organized, and display high energy & enthusiasm in every class, have opportunities to move up the various coaching levels and make $45 per session. Coaches will be paid an additional transportation and equipment fee and all drivers traveling outside of the City will be reimbursed tolls and mileage. Coaches will also be reimbursed for all national governing body coaching courses and CPR and First Aid certifications.

Key Role:
The Coaching Coordinator works closely with The Director of Childhood Development to build a dynamic and successful Coaching team. This position is responsible for the training, team building, coverage, curriculum support, scheduling and completing evaluations, leading meetings, and coaching. This position is 50% on the field and 50% in the office.
Responsibilities
Coach 5-12 Soccer Shots classes a week, dependent on company's need
Assists the Director of Childhood Development with new hire orientation to all new team members
Assists with creating a training schedule for new team members
Schedules all coaching related shifts for teammates
Supports team members through 1:1 meetings
Holds coaches accountable and follow-up when necessary
Oversees and completes on-field evaluations for all team members and trainers
Assists with the development and continued training of the coaching team
Seeks out talent to promote internal team members
Assists in researching, creating, and improving training methods for the coaching team
Assists with monthly team meetings, creating agenda and team-building activities
Attends weekly coaching department meetings (has read or is reading Traction, EOS)
Serves as one of the first sub for absences or if coaches leave during the season
Represents Soccer Shots at community and Soccer Shots run events, a minimum of 1 time per quarter (not to include our Tournaments)
Responsible for all coaching inventory and gear
Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry sports equipment (Approx. 40 pounds)
Reliable transportation in order to travel to classes all over San Diego and San Diego County
Full-time availability including on Saturdays
The ability to communicate with the Soccer Shots office while in the field
Proof of a TB test within the past 2 years from the date of hire OR proof of a TB test taken within 6 months after the hire date; proof of a new TB test must be taken every 2 years
Completion of 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units
Proof of Pediatric CPR Certification must be completed within 2 months of the start date; Pediatric CPR Certification must be reissued every 2 years
Completion of the Mandated Reporter Training; certification required
Availability 90% of Soccer Shots business hours, Saturday's required
Pay range: $21-$26.50 per hour
Full-time position that includes:
17 paid holidays (only with completed ECE units)
5.4 days of accrued vacation a year
40 hours per week, plus mileage reimbursement

Job Description
All coaches start at the entry level as an Assistant Coach and once they complete our orientation program make $20 per 40min-60min session. Coaches who attend trainings and are punctual, organized, and display high energy & enthusiasm in every class, have opportunities to move up the various coaching levels and make $45 per session. Coaches will be paid an additional transportation and equipment fee and all drivers traveling outside of the City will be reimbursed tolls and mileage. Coaches will also be reimbursed for all national governing body coaching courses and CPR and First Aid certifications.
Our coaches undergo a thorough hiring process including in-depth assessment and comprehensive background checks to guarantee we select ONLY THE BEST. Continual coaching development evaluations and training allow you to be cutting edge and up to date with the latest developments in training techniques with our own in-house training program the “Institute of Coaching”.

Qualifications
We are seeking coaches with 12 ECE units in and around the San Diego area, who meet our 5 Core Behaviors:
