Julie attended Aldine High School and Texas A&M University between 1982 and 1986.

Gilbert Santa Maria joined Philippine Airlines as President and COO, Board Director in 2019. Gilbert Santa Maria is the Chief Operating Officer and Board Director of IQ BackOffice, Inc. He is concurrently a Senior Advisor to LiveIt Investments, Ltd, IQ BackOffice’s largest shareholder, and has 20 years of senior-level management, investment and consulting experience. Prior to LiveIt, Gilbert was Senior Vice President (SVP) for Corporate Development at Stream Global Services and was responsible for global M&A as well as joint venture initiatives in Brazil, China and Japan. He joined Stream when it acquired eTelecare Global Solutions in 2009, where he had been concurrently SVP for Corporate Development and SVP for Philippine Operations. There, Gilbert was instrumental in the growth of eTelecare, having built one of its larger business units, acquired operations in Central America and South Africa, and managed 12,000 employees in the Philippines. Gilbert has held leadership roles in top-tier companies such as Booz Allen & Hamilton, Pepsi, Unilever and an Asian affiliate of Warburg Pincus. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of the Philippines and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
