Ice Energy CEO and leadership

I believe we need to and can transition to clean energy faster and better. My passion and expertise is commercializing the technologies and developing the projects that will do that. I began my career as an attorney with Bennett Jones, learning how to develop, structure and finance large, complex energy projects and went on to help bring to reality over $12 billion in power projects around the world.My legal work took me to California in 2000, during the California Energy Crisis and the peak of the dot-com bubble and there I fell in love with the potential of new technology to change the world and the challenge of making that happen. I left behind the practice of law and became an entrepreneur.I had the opportunity, which I seized, to lead an early stage energy storage company, in the very early days of the energy storage industry. We had to not only sell utilities on our Ice Bear thermal energy storage system, we had to sell utilities and policy makers on the need for energy storage. We were pioneers and it's true what they say about pioneers getting arrows in the back, but we endured and when I retired as CEO in 2018 we had built the leading thermal energy storage company in the world, with the highest revenues in its 14 year history.My retirement turned out to be short lived as in late 2018, my partners and I launched Bakken Midstream which is unleashing the clean energy potential of North Dakota. I have been able to help a number of other startups including Nelumbo, a nanotechnology, advanced materials venture, Plus Power, a leading battery storage project developer and OGL Engineering, a leader in geomatics. Ever since my wife was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at age 40, I have done all I can as a volunteer to help find a cure for this disease, including volunteer leadership roles with JDRF and raising tens of millions for the cause, and the job's not yet done. Alex Collins is a co-Chief Operating Officer at Ice Energy.

David Prezioso serves as CEO of Ice Energy. Dave has over 30 years of experience leading operations teams in implementing fully integrated solutions in the electric utility and chemical industries. He served two terms of employment with Honeywell International. While with Honeywell, he managed programs in the US, the Netherlands, Turkey, and Belgium. Dave was responsible for the operation of the Honeywell’s SCAN3000 program in the US, which later developed into Honeywell’s flagship product, PlantScape. In 1991 Dave led operations for Leeds & Northrup Corporation of North Wales, Pa. implementing projects for the power generation business in the US. From 2004-2007 he served as Vice President of Strategic Business Development for RTP Corporation in Pompano Beach, Fl. supporting business in Europe and North Africa. He also collaborated with green technology companies Xylan, Inc., and Power Energy Fuels converting waste into clean fuel. Dave did his undergraduate work at Ohio State University and graduated from LaSalle University, La with a degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters in Business Management. He also holds a degree in Computer Technology.

Charles 'Charlie' Costenbader is a Chief Financial Officer at Ice Energy and Board Member at Coalview Ltd LLC and is based in Woodlands, Texas. He has experience at Macquarie Group and Tangent Energy Solutions Inc and has worked as Chief Financial Officer at GALVESTON BAY BIODIESEL LP, Chief Operating Officer at SYNTHESIS ENERGY SYSTEMS INC, and VP:Structured Finance Group at Ge Capital. Charles studied at Columbia University and Lafayette College.
