**Control Room Operator (CRO) - Role Overview**
At bp, we are transforming the energy sector and seeking talented individuals to support our offshore operations. The Control Room Operator (CRO) is responsible for optimizing production systems, managing process upsets, and collecting performance data. This role involves monitoring performance, recommending flow adjustments, and ensuring accurate documentation. The CRO oversees process equipment and stability systems, operating both in the field and via control room interfaces to maintain optimal pressure, temperature, and efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Manage daily operational priorities, ensuring facility integrity and production optimization.
+ Operate, supervise, and adjust production systems, including fluid flow, separation, water handling, oil export, gas compression, and support systems.
+ Identify and report process safety and optimization issues promptly.
+ Complete operational routines per established schedules and procedures.
+ Record and report data on topside and subsea equipment, including defects.
+ Supervise isolations and permit issuance in compliance with Control of Work (CoW) procedures.
+ Monitor and report operational parameters, focusing on equipment and system anomalies.
+ Support maintenance and testing of subsea and topsides equipment.
+ Participate in emergency response exercises.
+ Ensure compliance with safety standards for vendors and visitors.
+ Track and manage inventory of production chemicals, critical spares, and materials.
+ Accurately document shift and crew-change handovers.
+ Adhere to certification requirements for maintenance activities.
+ Provide production input for projects and turnaround (TAR) preparation.
+ Oversee BCO and Marine activities, including vessel monitoring and collision avoidance within the Kaskida 500m zone.
+ Adjust FPU ballast to maintain safe operating limits.
+ Perform deck surveys and manage input in the stability systems.
+ Area Authority within CoW system.
**Qualifications and Experience**
+ Minimum 5 years' experience in offshore oil and gas production.
+ Advanced knowledge of pumps, compressors, control systems, and chemical/corrosion mitigation, and marine systems
+ Familiarity with BSSEE and USCG regulations; experience with regulatory inspections.
+ Experience with simultaneous production and construction operations.
+ Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and offshore environments.
+ Ability to travel by helicopter or boat in Gulf of America waters.
+ Proficiency in reading P&IDs, C&E Charts, Safety Flow Diagrams, MOM and SOPs.
+ Previous experience as a Control Room Operator or BCO.
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Experience in subsea topsides operations or marine systems
**Additional Requirements**
+ Valid passport or ability to obtain one for international travel.
+ Willingness to travel to and from Houston weekly and work on a project schedule.
+ Ability to serve on an emergency response team.
+ Successful completion of a fitness for duty assessment.
+ Willingness to work both in office and offshore settings.
+ Early phase: hybrid schedule (3 days/week in Houston office).
+ Commissioning: international rotation (likely 28/28).

Control Room Operator

Key Responsibilities

The Control Room Operator will collaborate closely with Furnace Operators, Utility Workers, and Engineers to coordinate real-time decisions, maintain operational stability, and respond effectively to system alarms or abnormal conditions. Monitor and adjust process parameters (temperature, flow, gas ratios, and feed rates) through DCS/PLC interfaces to maintain optimal conditions.
Log and report key process data, equipment performance, and shift handovers with precision and clarity.

Summary of Responsibilities
Operate and control water treatment plant machines and equipment to process an adequate supply of safe potable water to Del-Co Water customers.
Essential Duties
Operators are required to complete duties to a degree of proficiency in-line with their licensure level.
Regularly monitor panel board and adjust controls to regulate flow rates, loss of head pressure and water elevation, and distribution of water.
Correctly adjust specified amounts of chemicals such as chlorine, fluoride, and lime into water or adjust automatic devices that admit specified amount of chemicals into tanks to disinfect, deodorize, and clarify water.
Start agitators to mix chemicals and allow impurities to settle to bottom of tank.
Monitor Distribution system and adjust flow rates to adequately maintain system operation.
Clean tanks and filter beds using backwashing (reverse flow of water) at scheduled intervals.
Start and stop chemical feed equipment as required.
Regulate valves and flow dials to maintain filter and pumpage rates.
Increase/decrease chemical feeding rates as required.
Adjust pumps and chemical feeding equipment as required.
Perform basic chemical tests: alkalinity, pH, chlorine, hardness, turbidity, and fluoride.
Accurately test water samples and follow standard titration procedures and record results in logs.
Perform routine maintenance in plant using hand and power tools.
Accept after-hour inquiries and facilitate a response by calling in necessary staff.
Manage water quality in the distribution system by maintaining effective trending of tanks.
Ability and knowledge to understand, troubleshoot, and resolve, a wide variety of water quality inquiries.

Control Room Operator Pay: $25-$30/hour
We are seeking a Control Room Operator to support daily and nightly operations in the Oil & Gas industry. You will work closely with Supervisors, Field Staff, Consultants, and other departments on production, water, construction, and field service activities.
Responsibilities:
Handle inbound and outbound calls from company employees and vendors, dispatching and relaying information to the appropriate personnel.
Communicate between shifts regarding operational concerns, issues, and ongoing projects.
Report and track all activity during the 12-hour shift to ensure accurate shift turnover documentation.
Deliver, update, and record all work order information for the Operations Control Center.
Work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Adapt to changing priorities as the shift progresses.
Requirements:
Experience with Microsoft Office products.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Must be tech-savvy and able to learn new computer programs quickly.
Must pass pre-employment and random drug screens, as well as a criminal background check.
Prior control room, dispatching, or oil & gas field experience is preferred but not required.
